Last week, a customer asked me what I had blooming. Ummmm... Everything?? I love the peak summer bouquets. All the colours. All the textures. All the drama. Heck yesss.

If you would like to get your hands on some of our flowers, send us a message. We can make you a bouquet at any price point.

Or find us on Fridays and Saturdays on the corner of Southwood and Graham road in Severn Bridge.

It is not all sexy flower things over here. Sometimes it is really unexciting things like installing a light. Whooooot!
(Maybe the exclamation mark will bring excitement to this reel)

Science Experiment Update!
Dahlia cuttings are alive and ... growing? Eeeek!

Science experiment in progress...

I am currently attempting to propagte dahlia tubers. These tubers are expensive. Each one of them (think 'potato' if you've never seen a dahlia tuber) is $10 - $15. From everything I've read/watched online, once they send up leaf growth, they are easy to propagate. So this year I purchased $130 worth of tubers and am hoping to double the investment.

I've never done this before and don't have high hopes here. The lady I purchased the tubers from told me that she has tried numerous times to propagate dahlias and she's never succeeded, and she grows hundreds of dahlias.

But I am a sucker for punishment it seems. And lately I have been ruminating on this quote from Paulo Coelho which seems fitting for this post: "One day you will wake up and there won't be any more time to do the things you've always wanted. Do it now"

Happy spring, flower friends ♥️

The great Tulip harvest has begun!
1) Pull the bulb and flower out of the ground
2) Rinse off the dirt to keep the fridge clean
3) Let the tulips dry off in the crates
4) Store in the cooler until ready to make the flowers bouquets.

Seems so easy, right? But this is the harvest that gives me the most amount of stress and anxiety each season.

I've already lost over 300 tulip bulbs to vole and deer browsing. And now as the sun starts to make its appearance, I am worried about sun scorching damage.

And then there's the issue of them blowing open before I get to harvest them, which happens sometimes when the days heat up quickly.

The next two weeks are going to be busy but I'm ready for it.

Let's rock and roll friends 🌷
