There is honestly no bigger compliment than someone trusting my work enough to order without ever seeing it the wild! 🦚

Because let’s be real, photos and videos don’t even come close. They flatten everything out, the texture, the movement, the way the light hits each bead, all the little details that make the piece feel alive. So I never stress about disappointment. I already know that moment you open it, hold it, turn it in your hands… it hits different. Every single time ✨️🫶✨️

And I put a lot into that. Every bead is tacked down one by one, no shortcuts, no rushing. I go back through the piece again to reinforce it because I want it to last, not just look pretty for a minute. This isn’t fast work, it’s intentional work 😰

Added bonus: I'm like a child when it comes to "gifts" so the minute a custom piece is ordered, created, and ready to go, I head straight to the post office my first free moment so you can have those babies as soon as humanly possible because my lil PJ ✈️ dream is still loading...

You ever have one of those moments where you’re like… are these people amazing or am I slightly unwell? 😅

That was me when the Grande Prairie Friendship Center asked me to be the live artist at their annual Grande Gathering, their BIG fundraising gala.

Of course I said yes… then immediately panicked. Earrings? In 4 hours? Who would want that I thought?So we landed on a wall hanging.

Still… 4 hours?? I was like… what kind of wall hanging do you think I am making here??

Anyway… thank God I started early because this piece took 40+ hours, and I wish I was being dramatic but I’m not. Note to self, if it’s big and on a frame, it’s automatically double the time. Minimum.

Also, for anyone who doesn’t know, I 2-needle bead and tack down every single bead. I don’t skip. Not one. This piece will survive the apocalypse and partly due
to my relationship to Fireline, the only thread material I'll use, sponsor me immediately.

But honestly… this is the nicest piece I’ve ever made.
It went to an amazing cause, did so good in the live auction, and there was a split second where I almost grabbed the mic while center stage “just to clarify, I do NOT come with the piece” 😜

But for real, what an honour. The Friendship Centre has been part of my life since I was a kid, no matter where I’ve lived. The way they show up for community, for everyone, that’s something no live auction bidder could ever match.

Thank you so much for trusting me with this. And to the beautiful humans who took her home, I hope you feel every bit of love, sweat, and slight chaos stitched into every single bead 💛
