IODE Goderich IODE Maple Leaf Chapter Goderich and its Op Shop offers affordable prices on gently used women's clothing, jewelry, toys and small house wares.

Consignments are accepted by appointment (call 519-524-2002) on Mondays. Proceeds are donated to community projects, and programs for children and women. Our hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Maple Leaf Chapter IODE is proud to introduce you to The Sandy House - house 🏠 #5 on our ☃️Tour ☃️. Let's hear from the owners:

The Sandy House

Built in 1940 by the Sandy family, and known locally as The Sandy House, this four-bedroom home is now owned by Mike and Susan O’Brien. The four-bedroom, story and a half home, showcases many original architectural features such as arched doorways, rolled ceilings on the main floor, and original frosted glass doors in the living room. There is an original “Dutch” door leading to the very spacious upstairs. A renovation was done upstairs to combine two bedrooms into one and also to create a bathroom. The bedroom has a built-in window bench placed directly beneath the window. A truly well, loved home that is a wonderful addition to our house tour.

The Maple Leaf Chapter IODE is proud to introduce you to Jeff & Cindy Zell's House - house 🏠 #4 on our ☃️Tour ☃️. Let's hear from the owners:

Jeff & Cindy Zell’s House

Purchased in 2024 this beautiful red brick century home, est 1920, has been lovingly cared for by its many owners. The current owners have done renos to give it a cozy coastal vibe. The original floors were refinished to reflect their beauty and the main floor ceiling was replaced with wood to match. All rooms were painted except the kitchen. They completed basement renos and built a new garage. The front door, including bell and hardware, are original as is the stunning stained glass house number. Check out the original exposed brick in two of the bathrooms.

Jeff and Cindy’s favourite holiday is Christmas so they are thrilled and honoured to be part of the IODE Christmas house tour.

Gerry & Lorraine’s House

Welcome to 47 Bruce! For years we planned to make a move to Goderich, Gerry’s hometown, after years and careers in Calgary & BC. February 28, 2020 was the closing date on the house purchase and happily, by the end of 2023 a simple but fairly complete renovation was finally completed. New windows and bathrooms, a renovated kitchen, crown moulding and lights and a complete sunroom addition plus 44 gallons of paint! No room was left untouched. There have been very few owners of 47B and we are happy to be the current stewards of this cozy old girl. We wish the walls could talk; can you imagine the stories over her past 126 years! Stay tuned for our next project in 2027!

Our home is filled with warmth, character, and a little Christmas magic. One of our favourite features is our front door, which was originally from a bank dating back to 1890. We’ve also incorporated a beautiful reclaimed architectural piece that now divides our entrance from the dining room. We love giving old pieces new life and imagining the stories they could tell. For this Christmas tour, our home has been decorated entirely with pieces from Canadian Tire, which we proudly own in Goderich. We hope you enjoy the warmth, character, and Christmas spirit we’ve created in our home.
