Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would end up living where I can get up in the morning, grab a cup of coffee (plus dog), and walk out the back door to an old-growth hemlock forest, knowing that there is zero chance of seeing another human.

Since I can't really get parts for building wheels anymore, I figure I should start doing something for which I CAN get parts. The pot and neck are made from an old mahogany bed frame that I found. The head is goat hide stretched over a coffee can. The nut and 5th string pip are ade out of a piece of bone that my dog found in the woods. No stain, just finished with pure beeswax melted in and then buffed out.

We have a little over 3 weeks left until we move into the new house. Current public health measures mean we can't trave...

With all of the upheaval of the past year I pretty much abandoned social media. Most of my builds weren't photographed but I do haveba few pictures that I didn't bother posting. Since all of my tools and supplies are packed in a storage container until the end of May, I figure now is a good time to share a few.
