In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Styilst does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Kim's In Harmony Hoodie Review: Wanakome is back at it again! I honestly think it's the slightly longer length that makes this hoodie so flattering. Of course the beautiful tulip hem on the back is also such a beautiful touch! I'll tell you right now, it makes every butt look good! 😛 The material is super soft, I would definitely compare the general fit to most of their hoodies with two side pockets. I'm wearing the sample size small here and find it to be a nice fitted fit. I would suggest sticking with your typical size or sizing up for a little bit more of a relaxed fit. And let me tell you, these colours are amazing!

Kim's Here For You Denim Review: These are essentially the exact same as Revolution Denim but with a non-frayed ankle! The black denim has a slightly different feel just like the black Revolution's do as it's a black denim but is super super stretchy and both are nice and high waisted. I feel as though you could size down in these, the black specifically, just as a lot of people do with the Revolution Denim. I am wearing the size 5 and find them nice and comfortable!

Allison's Here For You Denim Review: I'm wearing the size 15 in these jeans and they're amazing!! They're really really stretchy and the rise is high enough to be comfortable and not dig in anywhere. I feel these would be great jeans for longer inseam as I do get a bit of extra length. This is typical of my inseam though. These are the perfect jeans to wear with boots or runners! Classic comfy jeans are what we all need!

Christina's What Kind of Mom Are You Top Review: This Mother's Day you can customize your shirt to describe the mom you feel best describes you. You can enter up to 16 characters before the word mom. Here are a few versions I came up with! The fit of this top is the bees knees. It is slouchy and can easily be worn off the shoulder. I love how it is a little fitted around the bottom and loose and slouchy through the rest of the top. It’s a soft cotton is 100% my new weekend top. Easy, comfy and flattering! Christina's Country Girl Sweatshirt Review: There is a reason Brunette the Label is so popular. The quality and feel of these sweatshirts is consistently amazing. The Country Girl saying comes from a collaboration between Brunette and a local blogger from Langley BC, Monika Hibbs. She is epitomizes country in the chicest way possible. Now I am sure some of you will laugh at me, coming from a "city, but I definitely feel like that Country Girl deep down so this sweatshirt speaks right to my heart. I am wearing the S/M in these photos but I have both S/M and M/L in this core body. I find I like them both for different reasons. I personally feel like the S/M looks a bit better but I love the slightly slouchier feel of the M/L.

Hayley's Country Girl Sweatshirt Review: My girls love their BTL sweatshirts. They are a very easy piece to throw on and although a higher price point, they last!! So they are totally worth it. They don't really have any stretch so I tend to size up and roll the sleeves for a bit if they are too long. They wash up amazing and don't shrink! They also don't pill. I love the look and how easy it is for my girls to look together with these super cute sweatshirts.
