My milk machine for our bottle lambs has saved me over 7,000 bottle feeds in the past 3 years. (Closer to 10,000 since I get more than one bottle per “dose”. We’ve never had a lamb bloat, since they feed on demand. The temperature can be adjusted. I can get water when I need it. This machine has been a lifesaver…for me and the lambs.

I thought it was broken this morning when I found it wasn’t mixing properly. A mouse decided to take a swim and got caught in the blades. I can’t even imagine the mess if they weren’t plastic.

We have 5 more spring lambs available for pick-up from Peace Vale on October 18th. I couldn’t be prouder of the growth in this year’s lambing groups! If interested, Darren’s cell is (250)794-1022.

Can’t make the 4-H beef, sheep and swine sale on Sunday at 5:00 but you or your company would like to participate? People have been requesting this info. You can contact any of the gentlemen listed on the form with questions or to send in your bidding sheet. They can also answer any questions you may have. I’m also available to answer questions.

Please consider supporting our District 4-H members at this year’s Show and Sale” in Dawson Creek on July 15 and 16th. Sale starts at 5:00 on Sunday. Can’t make it? Contacts are included in the letter. You can place a max bid in advance, or choose a “buyer” to do the work for you. There will also be an online catalogue coming out this week. Stay tuned!

Welcome! Lambing and calving have been busier than I anticipated. We went from 100 ewes to 200 this year. We are expecting 400 lambs!

While I had great expectations of having this page up and running with more detail than this one post, that is on hold for a few more weeks...
