Once again, this community showed up! 💛

Thank you to everyone who donated hygiene products for our drive. The products are being provided to local organizations who assist those most at need!!

This was our last community initiative, but we will continue to encourage and do this work in our community.

First days are full of jitters and hoping things go off without a hitch…that rarely happens but things always seem to work themselves out, as was the case today.

So now for a little story time 💕

Over the last year when Jersey has been in the store, she would say
“Someone called looking for the owner today” or “a guy was here asking for the manager”

It’s no secret that she’s young. So since we knew that she would be taking over ownership, we kind of laughed about the day when someone comes in and says
“Can I speak to the owner?”
and Jersey replies in her little voice
“That’s me..”

So we’ve been teasing her!

Like own it girl. You’re the boss now!
You’re the Head Bitch In Charge!!
So today she was gifted with this name tag..
Jersey HBIC 💕

What started in 2018 with a drive by and a conversation comes to a close today…

…And what a ride it’s been!!

This little store wasn’t just a business,
it was something built day by day
and lesson by lesson.

It was local goods, familiar faces and conversation that mattered.

It was doing our best to show up in a good way!

And showing these kids that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.

With so much gratitude,

It’s a big week for us!!

Wednesday is the last day this little local store will be operating at Ski’s Variety!! A lot needs to go on behind the scenes to make these things happen with minimal disruption to the day to day operations.

Here’s what you need to know!

1. Ski’s will be closing at 6:00pm Wednesday. Everything in the store needs to be inventoried. That’s why there has been a limited selection of “stuff” this past few weeks. But don’t worry!! A big restock is coming your way when Rosey and the crew take over!!

2. Use your Ski’s gift cards. We so appreciate all of your support, but we will be unable to process gift cards after Wednesday!! Our biggest gift card sales were birthday parties for kids!! We can’t tell you how many times a customer requested twenty $5 gift cards as the “loot bag” for their kids party. So get the kids to check their rooms, and come get their haul.

3. If you’re a HAGI bingo player, we won’t be selling the tickets for Saturdays bingo until the store opens Thursday. If you don’t know what HAGI bingo is….girlllll…. you’re missing out. Come see our girl Jersey on Thursday and she will put you in the loop, and hook you up!!

We appreciate all of your support as we make this transition as smoothly as possible with NO CLOSED DAYS!! ❤️

It’s almost the BIG DAY!

Follow Rosey’s Convenience store to stay up to date on everything happening in store!

Lottery, skate sharpening, hockey accessories, snacks / drinks , locally made food items and meats.

One last community initiative before we hand over the reins!

Come into the store and donate all the hotel leftovers and trial sized hygiene items cluttering up your bathroom.

We will forward these items on to community partners who assist those in the most need.

Of course when you donate, you can enter your name in the ballot box for a prize.

We will accept donations until Tuesday April 28!!

What’s old is new again!!

We are very excited to share that Jersey and Tom Rose are the excited new owners of our towns favourite little store, which will operate as Rosey’s Convenience Store!! 🌹❤️

What does this mean for you, the customer??

Not a whole lot will change from your side of the counter. You can expect to see the same smiling faces greeting you, and the same level of customer service you’ve grown accustomed to. This new team is eager and keen, and we expect great things moving forward.

We can not thank this community enough for the support and loyalty we have received over the years.
A lot of the products we offered came as direct suggestions from customers. It was our absolute pleasure to collaborate with so many local vendors, giving folks a place to showcase their products, and giving the community the opportunity to truly shop and support local.

This store isn’t just a place you go for a ticket or a drink, for many it’s a place to catch up, run into an old friend, and for some it’s the only encounter they may have with another person that day.
The customers become friends, and we’re so very thankful for the friendships made with each of you while we were here!!

Thank you all for everything, and best wishes to Jersey and Tom as they take on this fun and exciting venture!
