The Violet Chocolate Company is a high-end award winning boutique chocolatier that uses old-world chocolate crafting techniques to produce modern, unique flavor profiles. Red Seal Chef and Chocolatier Rebecca Grant has been pursuing her love of food and chocolate professionally since 2006. Over the years she has developed unique chocolate recipes while mastering the traditional chocolatiering tech

niques. Her artistic and culinary talents come together to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations with the perfect balance of flavours. In the Spring of 2012, Rebecca officially launched The Violet Chocolate Company Ltd. All the Company’s chocolates are gluten-free, ethically-sourced, and are made with local ingredients wherever possible. Grant was recognized for her skills as a chocolatier in 2013, winning Gold at the Canadian National Chocolate Awards.

A special note from Rebecca:
Thank you to everyone who has sent such sweet messages after Maryanne and I announced that Violet Chocolate would be closing. Your words mean so much to us as we navigate this difficult time. There were a lot of tears but also so much laughter and reminiscing as we read through them. For those not on our enews, you can read my letter in the slide deck above.

I know many of you have questions about why but at this time, we won’t be addressing them. We need space and time to grieve this decision and get through Easter. There was no single contributing factor to this decision; it was just time.

Introducing… The Nostalgia Collection! This collection is some of our favourite award-winning flavours that we've been privileged to share with you over the last 11 years! This makes them the perfect flavours for our final collection as we prepare to say farewell and close Violet Chocolate Co.

We are so grateful for the support from each of you and our local community over the last decade (and a bit!). Your trust in us to embrace adventurous ingredients to create delicious chocolate has been a dream come true! Which makes saying goodbye that much harder.

It is truly bittersweet to be closing Violet Chocolate Co. We will miss so much about running this business, and we have so much to be grateful for in the experiences we've shared with you and each other. While we don't have a set end date, we hope you'll embrace this last collection with as much excitement and celebration as possible.

The collection is available online now, along with some special Easter treats.

The bars of The Nostalgia Collection will be available with stockists by March 31, all of whom are fellow independent and local businesses that help to make our communities vibrant and deserve support.

After a bit of an unintentional social media break we are doing our best to get back into a routine! You too?

What better way to start things off than with a quick introduction!

We are the faces behind the name. Yep! Just the two of us!

Rebecca (on the right) is our owner and chocolatier. She makes every single bar and comes up with the most delicious flavours. Just for you and all by hand!

Maryanne (on the left) leads our sales & marketing. You’ll see her pop up in stories to make sure you know which flavour to try next and which of our stockists just got a fresh delivery.
