For those who don’t know me, allow me to re-introduce myself.
Hi! I’m Ruhee, Founder of Rubies Bras. We took some time to rest after closing our custom bra side of the business and now, we are back with a more teaching & mentorship lens this year!
Before I started Rubies Bras, I had never sewn anything. Over 11 years ago, I was out to lunch with a friend and was complaining about my bra (as one does) when she suggested I try sewing my own. I thought she was kidding at first. But desperate times lead to desperate measures, so I tried it. And I couldn’t believe the difference! That day a new passion was ignited inside me for bramaking and I’ve never looked back.
A great bra will change your life. It can resolve pain. It will build confidence. It will make you feel beautiful inside and out. I’ve been on a mission to help others feel incredible in a bra that was *made for them*.
With that being said, I wanted to do a final shoutout for our current live sewing class for the Sahaara Laces Wirefree Bra. Over 6 weeks, we will help you sew a bra from start to finish. You’ll build sewing skills, be part of a close knit sewers community, and have support from teachers as you go.
But here’s the main thing I want you to know:
It’s one thing to make a bra from a pattern, it’s a whole other thing to adjust that pattern so it fits YOUR body perfectly. That’s where Rubies Sewing Academy comes in. Your instructors are knowledgeable and passionate about bra making, and we feel the best when YOU create a bra that will fits perfectly.
