What a day! A huge thank you to everyone who came out for National Thrift Shop Day and joined us for our second annual Passport Challenge!

It was so much fun seeing the community out exploring, hunting for treasures, collecting stamps, and showing us some serious thrift love.

A big shoutout to our friends at Find and The Mustard Seed Thrift Store Edmonton for teaming up with us to make the day happen. Together, we celebrated sustainable shopping, community, and the ways thrift stores give back.

And to everyone who shopped, donated, participated, and helped make the day so special — thank you! We couldn't do it without you. 💙

🚨 National Thrift Shop Day is happening TOMORROW, Saturday August 15!

Bissell Thrift Shop, FIND, and The Mustard Seed Thrift Store are teaming up for a full day of thrifting, prizes, deals, and fun — and we want you to be ready!

Did you know Bissell Centre helps families with children entering school?

This is just one of the low or no cost supports available to families facing barriers to affording the growing costs associated with sending children to school. We put together a blog to help point folks in the right direction for where they can find the support they need so their children can make the most of their education opportunities:

📚School supplies like pencils, notebooks, and other everyday school essentials.
👕Resource referrals to clothes, shoes, and winter wear essentials.
🍎Resource referrals for Food for lunches.
💵Support applying for additional income support.

The best part of every month is sharing what this community made possible.

In July, FIND furnished 134 homes, helping 198 people transition out of homelessness and into housing.

Behind every number is a new beginning.

A family gathering around their own table.
A child sleeping in a room that feels like theirs.
Someone coming home to a couch where they can finally rest.

A house becomes a HOME because of you.

Every couch donated. Every dresser dropped off. Every thrift store purchase. Every item given a second life helps create safe, comfortable spaces for people rebuilding their lives after homelessness.
