O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumptions/suspicions are sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would detest/hate it. And fear Allah. Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful. (Surah 49:12)
