So, you've assembled a nice audio system - good amp, speakers you enjoy, a turntable maybe, maybe a streamer? So, how do you extract the best performance from the gear? It's the little, important finishing ingredients to maximize your audio pleasure. It's not always a new amp or new speakers to give you better sound, but for those who are streaming their favourite music, here are 4 steps to improve and build your musical experience: 1): AC Power Conditioning - products from Puritan Audio, Plixir Power or KECES Audio. You must lower the noise from your AC lines and improve current delivery to your amplifiers. There are many options so try some of these by working with your audio dealer 2): DC power conditioning - try replacing your switching DC power supplies with proper Linear DC power - you will be shocked how this simple step makes your system performance jump up! The power supplies to your Audio Streamer, your DAC, your Turntable DC motor, your Network switch. The cheap DC power supplies that come included with many audio products very often limit your performance and also leak noise into your audio system. 3): If you are streaming audio - choose your network switch carefully - there are gains to be heard from network switches from KECES Audio and ADOT - Audiophile Digital Optical Technology, Melco DELA. Of course proper DC power supplies are important for network devices like these.
4): consider isolating your Audio Subnet from the rest of your household data streaming by using an Optical Isolator from ADOT - there are two models to look at - speak with us about which ADOT device is best for your audio network. Here's the inexpensive ADOT Subnet Switch and Optical Isolator from ADOT. These are some of the brands we know and recommend. Doug Schneider lived with the MOON 761 across two listening rooms, pairing it with a wide range of loudspeakers and electronics. His conclusion: transparent, authoritative, completely in control, and flawlessly reliable.
