Peggy Tows and Kim Dick, the creators of Kootenay
Upcycle Designs are good friends with a love and
passion for vintage treasures. Their collection of
conscientious clothing and accessories are created with
salvaged and reclaimed items to create unique one of a
kind designs.
"Upcycling" gives new life to an item that is no longer
needed or wanted. It makes use of already existing
pieces, uses few resources in its creation and keeps
"unwanted" items out of the waste stream, ultimately
contributing to a more sustainable world. The process is
eco-friendly and often creates an item of greater value
and usefulness.
Upcycling is not a new concept to us. Our grandmothers
and mothers were thrifty and reused almost everything.
They were creative in repurposing items over and over
until they were no longer useful.

Hello! I’m Andrea, the maker behind Radiant Knots.
Growing up in the Kootenays, I was immersed in nature from a young age. Collecting interesting rocks, unique pieces of driftwood, and simply being outside enjoying nature is something I continue to do to this day.
As a child, arts and crafts was a passion of mine. From frequent visits to the local craft supply store, to attending local craft fairs, I was always finding inspiration to create.
A few years back, I had the idea to incorporate my love of gemstones and crystals into my macrame pieces, and thus, Radiant Knots was born. From keychains to wall hangings, elements of nature are always included in my work.
I’m so excited to be a part of the pop-up this year, and will have a variety of hangings, keychains, ornaments and more!

will be at the pop up December 10th, 11, & 12

Dirt Light Shadow is a Kimberley based Ceramic Studio that brings forth artistry through design and function. Making beautiful objects to embellish your home and unique adornment to rock your style.
Functional pottery includes mugs, jars, food containers, bowls etc. They have simple lines and a cool colour pallet that is inspired by our BC landscapes. Other offerings include framed ceramic reliefs, porcelain jewellery with depth and layers of detail. Most work is fired at least three times to obtain its beautiful lustre. Motivations include reducing plastic in the Kitchen, developing timeless designs and creating singular objects to embellish your home and unique adornment to rock your style.

Come check out Dirt Light Shadow and her work this weekend at the pop up!

Hi! I’m Emma, the maker behind Itch to Stitch Handmade. Itch to Stitch is almost a year old venture now, and started out with my interest in sewing. It quickly spiralled out of control, and has since expanded to include a few different sewing related hobbies of mine. My focus is on creating hair scrunchies, rope baskets, and leather handbags.
I had always considered myself to be the opposite of an artsy and creative person. However I’ve found that I love the hands on experience of turning raw materials into something beautiful (and useful)!

Come see Emma and her beautiful work this weekend only!
