Roger Matchett started at Walmart in September of 2020 as the Fleet Operations Manager. Roger joined the business with more than 20 years of transportation experience in air freight, container work, and optimizing cube count to save over 4 million dollars. Since coming to Walmart, Roger has been focused on expanding the fleet operations into the Maritimes by opening 3 new yards (Vaudreuil, Ottawa & Moncton) to better serve our Walmart stores. Eastern Fleet was recognized as the safest fleet for 2 years in a row and has been named Top Fleet Employer for its third year in a row. This is reflective in Roger’s hard work, dedication and his emphasis on building strong relationships.
