It's PRIDE month!! We are very excited to be partnering with The Bookshop NL and Q***riosity on a super fun event to celebrate Pride. Join us on June 27 at 10am for A Q***r Read & A Cuppa Tea. Saturday morning tea, books and friends? Sound just about perfect!

This is a free event. Bring your favourite q***r book /author, have some tea and chat about books while listening to some great tunes at 62 Broadway. 🌈📚☕️

I don’t think … I know I like it when it rains! It’s my preferred ambiance sound and makes the coziest setting for reading. 📖 Does anyone else actually LIKE rainy days? I know I’m in the minority here, but anyone??? Mighty Valley Coffee also gives a cozy space to sip and read ☕️ Thankful for these spaces.

What an incredible evening hosted by the amazing Camber Arts x Riddle Fence/ Shelly Kawaja, interviewing author Maria Reva and hearing from the extremely talented Snizhana Dovzhenko! It was the best evening. Even being in a room full of so much local talent is exhilarating! I’m looking forward to bringing some copies of Reva’s books to the shop! I can’t be the only one! The convenience of an e-reader at times is unmatched. I love consuming stories on many different mediums but I just can’t top the experience of turning a page, feeling the paper texture, smelling the pages, flexing the spine, the weight of the book… the shelf trophies, being able to annotate with an actual pencil or pen, being able to physically share my copy with another reader… It’s top tier for me. Maybe I’m aging real hard and real fast and starting to turn on technology 😅 To be honest I never was a big e-reader or audiobook reader. What’s your preferred medium for reading and why?
