What a weekend.
Sometimes you pull off something incredible and still can't quite believe you were part of putting it all together.
Over the past two days, Bell Park was transformed into a place where thousands of people came together to support local businesses, enjoy great food, spend time with family, and celebrate everything that makes our community special.
More than 10,000 people attended Spring Fling this weekend, supporting 40+ local vendors, 12+ local food vendors, dozens of community organizations, and a festival that was built almost entirely through the efforts of local businesses, volunteers, students, and staff.
For us at A Maze N Fun, Spring Fling is more than just a festival. It's our largest training event of the year and an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported us since day one.
This year, more than 50 local youth joined our team to help bring the event to life. Months of planning, hiring, training, organizing, loading, setting up, operating, and tearing down all led to this weekend. Watching our team step up, support one another, and create memories for thousands of families was something truly special.
I am incredibly proud of what they accomplished.
A huge thank you to:
• Our A Maze N Fun team for their hard work and dedication
• The 40+ vendors and 12+ food vendors who helped make the festival such a success
• The many volunteers who worked behind the scenes for months helping plan and organize the event
• The student volunteers from local schools who donated their time throughout the weekend
• The City of Greater Sudbury staff for their continued support and guidance
• The CGS Parks staff who work tirelessly to maintain the beauty of Bell Park
• Our sponsors, partners, performers, and community organizations who helped bring the event to life
And most importantly, thank you to every family, parent, grandparent, and child who came out this weekend.
When I started A Maze N Fun, one of my goals was simple: create opportunities for families to get outside, be active, make memories together, and support their local community.
Looking around Bell Park this weekend, seeing thousands of smiling faces doing exactly that, I couldn't help but think:
Mission accomplished.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Sudbury.
We'll see you next year. ❤️
