Although I have days I miss the store and my customers, I truly am doing what’s important to me!! No one knows how long they have on Earth and I just want to ensure I spent my time doing what I love and being with those I love. Life is good!

Just an update. Still asked “How’s retirement going?” “Do you miss the shop?” Retirement has been wonderful. I’m busy updating outside decks and gardens, enjoying my grandkids soccer season, having the grandkids for play dates, building box forts, celebrating my daughter’s 40th birthday, enjoying lunches out, walking most mornings, games of backgammon, trips to the beach and spending time with family and friends, reading and relaxing by the pool. My priorities are being met!
Indeed I miss my customers but the freedom to do as I please each day is so important to me. I’m even doing furniture refinishing and really enjoying online sales. Who knew?
Loved the shop but love doing what’s right for me.

I’m asked at least once a week, “Do you miss your store?” The answer is always the same. I miss my customers. (Which I’m lucky to get to have some visit me at home!) Today as always I did my hour walk in the morning with my friend. I got to take my grandson Jack to his orthodontist and a visit to McDonald’s in the middle of the morning. I got to have a leisurely lunch with dear friends. Tonight I get to watch my two youngest grandsons play soccer. I’m doing exactly what I want to do! I’m embracing the freedom of choice!

This is a long shot but a dear lady had brought 2 small tables into the shop for repair. They were repaired but she didn’t come back before I sold. She was a very frequent customer and said she’d be back. I don’t have her name but I so want to deliver them to her. She has a son and a daughter in Florida. She was a retired lady. Any one have any ideas who she might be??? I feel terrible having her tables!!! Thank you!!!
