If you’ve ever compared BBQs, you’ve probably seen the 𝑩𝑻𝑼 number listed in the specs. BTU stands for 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒕, and it measures how much heat a BBQ can produce.

But a higher BTU doesn’t automatically mean a better BBQ. A larger grill may simply need more heat to cover a bigger cooking area.

So when you’re comparing models, look at the full picture - features, construction, cooking space, and what fits your needs.
