:: so, I have this named Alice that my partner and helped me build. She has a power stone in her paw and a note from them inside, and she’s just really special to me. And I decided she needed a . And although I have been for years, I’ve always been really scared to try anything with open work or lots of increases or decreases because I’m a and I get a lot of anxiety about it. But partner bought me this gorgeous hank of yarn, and I found a pattern designed for dolls - and I knocked it out in no time. Doing a small project for a change was a lovely and I feel ready to tackle some bigger challenges now! @ Calgary, Alberta

:: I will never claim to be one who can draw or paint - I have a lot of trouble translating what I want onto a page in that way. That said, I purchased a high quality set of professional for myself and my daughter ( ) to share, and it has felt amazing to just explore how the paint works, how the colours mix, how it feels to glide a brush across the page. We’ve been painting in the afternoons together, and I love watching her explore and giving myself the freedom to try something I might not be traditionally “good” at. So I’m sharing my first two watercolour here - maybe it’ll give someone else the or they need to try something new, even if it isn’t perfect or whatever.
