IMPORTANT UPDATE regarding Origins Prerelease

Due to limited product availability from WOTC, the organizers were only able to secure 300 prerelease kits for this event.

As such, we will be instituting quotas for each flight running this weekend and adjusting some of the scheduling. As this is completely out of our hands, the organizers are hoping the community can be understanding of the situation we were placed in.

We will be placing max quotas on each time event but will be moving unsold kits from the event previous to the next one in order to maximize play. This means we COULD have more players at a certain time but it is because we had less in a previous one. Preregistered players have been accounted for in these numbers.

The following is the updated schedule of events/changes/quotas:

Midnight tonight: 100 kits cap - 40 preregistered

9am Sealed - 24 players max

10am Sealed CANCELLED
10am 2 HG - 12 Teams - 24 players

11am Main Event - 68 players

12pm Sealed CANCELLED
12pm 2HG - 12 teams - 24 players

1pm - ONLY 1 Sealed event - 12 players

2pm Sealed CANCELLED
2pm 2HG - 12 teams - 24 players

3pm - ONLY 1 Sealed Event - 8 players

4pm - ONLY 1 Sealed Event - 8 players

5pm - ONLY 1 Sealed Event - 8 players

It is likely there will be a 2HG event that has less players at which time we could run a singleton sealed event as well but this is solely based on product availability!

The organizers apologize for the changes but feel this event will still be an excellent one!

Our intention is to make every Prerelease an awesome experience for all of the Players. Please check us out and help us make this the event to be at!

PREREGISTRATION OPENS ON TUESDAY June 2nd!!

Players can preregister at one of the three stores. (Sentry Box 403-245-2121 / Phoenix Comics 403-220-1399 / Trilogy Games 403-279-2290).
***You must provide Name day and time and DCI #. ***
TO PREREGISTER YOU MUST PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION REQUIRED TO OBTAIN YOUR TICKET.

The ticket holder will be responsible for their tickets once obtained through preregister. Their ticket must be presented to gain entry.

(A DCI # for new players or if a player does not know their number, they can find them on
" accounts/wizards.com " )

(Facebook registrations will NOT be accepted. )

Jason Ness is the Score Keeper for the entire event.

We will be providing the following:

1. We will be hosting a seminar on limited, including the cards from Magic Origins.
This seminar will be presented by ROBERT SMITH. Three time Grand Prix top 8'er, winner of GP Seattle-Tacoma.
The seminar will run at 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday prior to the midnight event.

2. Deck Doctor Clinic - by TYLER BLUM, [Two top 8 finishes at Grand Prix's with one win in Chicago] (Sat)
(Help to tweak your deck as the day progresses, give you insight to understanding limited better, fine tuning.)

3. The Midnight event will payout prizing when it is finished. (Fri)
Midnight is a 4 rnd event.

4. A Prerelease event every hour on Sat from 9am to 5 pm. (Sat)
Saturday;

9 am - Sealed #1 4 rnds
10 am - Sealed #2 3 rnds
10 am - 2-HG #1 3 rnds
11 am - Sealed #3 5 rnds Competitive! Main Event.
12 noon - Sealed #4 3 rnds
12 noon - 2-HG #2 3 rnds
1 pm - Sealed #5 4 rnds
1 pm - Sealed #6 3 rnds
2 pm - Sealed #7 4 rnds
2 pm - 2-HG #3 3 rnds
3 pm - Sealed #8 3 rnds
4 pm - Sealed #9 3 rnds
5 pm - sealed #8 3 rnds
(Last event of the night)

THEN WE ARE HAVING AN AFTER PARTY!!!

"What is an After Party?" :
( We will be running Werewolf, Settlers of Catan, Smallworld, and for those with prizing packs can draft after the prerelease.)

A PARTY AFTER WE ARE DONE THE PRERELEASE FOR SATURDAY!

5. We will be providing food:
Menu TBA
and a bar service will be available.

6. Some of the stores will have booths up to provide Singles, sleeves, deck boxes, foils, trades, etc.. (Fri/Sat)

7. We will be running a Chaos draft in place of FNM on the Friday. Registration is from open to 6:30 pm. The chaos begins at 6:40 pm. Entry $30 (Judge TBA ).
Packs include: Modern to Present. (example: Mirrodin, 8th, Darksteel, RoE, Zendikar, Modern Masters* as a bonus pack, RtR, ALA, NPH, etc...)

8. Out-of-towners will be paid out after their events upon proof by Drivers Licence. (Fri/Sat)

9. Prizing after the Saturday event can be picked up the following Friday at the store of your choice. (Let the T.O.'s or Jason Ness know what store you would like to pick up your prizing from and it will be there for you.) (Sat)

10. There will be an ATM on site.

Just want to thank all those who came out to the mega prerelease in Calgary featuring artist Clint Cearley! We hope it was a good time as we enjoyed hosting!

Last big prerelease at Broken City today; Clint will be on hand as well. If you are looking for a quieter time, Trilogy is hosting our last prerelease event at the store at 1pm.

Lastly on the prerelease topic, Trilogy Games will be hosting Alberta's first MTGO prerelease events April 3 and 5th! Entry is $10 which includes 4 hours computer/LAN time & 2 packs added to our TCG prize pool. Your Best OCG result submitted in a 4 hour window is ranked against the other players. Top players will receive Dragons of Tarkir TCG prizing!
Players must pay for online prerelease events from their own credit pool / accounts
This is a great way to play MTGO and win additional TCG prizing!
