The start of a new council term is a good opportunity to review whether the technology is meeting the needs of those who rely on it. Sometimes that means a full AV system upgrade. In other cases, improving audio, updating cameras, or simplifying meeting controls can make a noticeable difference.

Our latest blog looks at the different microphones, displays, cameras, and accessibility tools that help council chambers support today's meetings.

When choosing a commercial projector, one of the first things to consider is how it produces light. The three common options are:

Lamp: Traditional projection technology that can offer good brightness but requires periodic lamp replacements.

LED: Long-lasting, energy-efficient, and has high quality colour saturation, making colours look more vivid and intense.

Laser: Offers long operating life and is available in high-brightness models designed for larger spaces and more challenging lighting conditions.

So, which is right for your space? It depends on the room, screen size, ambient lighting, and how the space is used.

Stay tuned for our upcoming deep dive on all things projectors, but until then check out our blog on using projectors in bright spaces!

October is Cyber Security Awareness Month! Your meeting room is on the network, but is it part of your IT security plan?

Between video conferencing systems, touch panels, wireless presentation devices, and networked displays, there can be a lot more connected equipment in a meeting room than you might expect. Knowing what's installed, which devices need firmware updates, and who has administrative access is an important part of keeping that equipment secure.

Our latest blog covers a few practical AV security checks for IT teams, including network segmentation, device management, and what to document when a new system is installed.

Projectors have traditionally been associated with darkened rooms, closed curtains, and dimmed lights. That isn’t always possible in corporate meeting rooms as modern designs and architectural trends lean towards large, bright, open spaces.

A bright boardroom doesn't automatically rule out projection. With the right combination of projector brightness, screen material, image size, and viewing conditions, a projection system can be a great AV solution for commercial environments.

Our latest blog breaks down what to consider when planning a projection system for a bright meeting space and what is needed to make it work.

If meetings often involve brainstorming, reviewing drawings, working through documents, or collaborating on ideas, having an interactive display can become an important part of the room.

Not every interactive display is designed the same way. Some are primarily focused on touch and collaboration, while others combine the display with cameras, microphones, speakers, and video conferencing software. Screen size, touch capabilities, connectivity, and the way the room is used all matter when deciding what type of display makes sense.

Our latest blog looks at what to consider when choosing interactive displays for Canadian meeting rooms. Read it here: https://hubs.la/Q04zFNXl0

In a university lecture hall, everyone should be able to hear the presentation clearly, whether they are sitting in the first row or the back corner of the room.

Ceiling height, seating layout, architecture design, and background noise all impact the audio quality and coverage in an auditorium. The solution is not just turning up the volume. A well-designed lecture hall audio system focuses on controlling reflections, reducing background noise, improving speech intelligibility, and delivering the right amount of sound evenly throughout the room.

In our latest blog, we talk about how to achieve even audio coverage in a university lecture hall by going over acoustics, speaker selection, microphones, and system testing.

When was the last time your boardroom’s AV was upgraded? If the answer is “a few years ago,” it may be worth taking a look.

Microsoft has several changes underway in 2026 that affect older Teams Rooms hardware, authentication, operating systems, and certifications. IT teams should know which rooms are running older hardware, which operating systems they're using, and where support is coming to an end.

"It still works" is one of the most common reasons equipment stays in service past its supported lifecycle. Just because it functions doesn't mean it's a good idea to keep relying on it.

We cover what’s changing, how to identify affected rooms, and what to consider before budgeting for a refresh.

Class starts in five minutes. The projector isn’t showing displaying content, the microphone isn’t working, and the lecture capture isn’t recording.

Before waiting for IT, there are a few things you can check yourself.

From display connections and audio settings to camera presets, lecture capture, and network issues, our latest blog covers 7 simple classroom AV troubleshooting steps instructors can try before calling for support.

Sometimes, the fix is simple, but knowing when to call in reinforcements is just as important.

School is back, and classrooms are officially busy again.

From interactive displays and classroom audio to lecture capture, video conferencing, and presentation systems, AV plays a bigger role in education than ever.

When the technology works, it stays in the background and lets teachers teach and students learn. When it doesn’t, even a small AV issue can interrupt an entire class.

When every classroom is in use, having a reliable, easy-to-use AV system matters. Having recurring AV issues on your campus? Let’s talk about how to make your systems more reliable, easier to use, and ready for the demands of the school year.

There’s a lot more to AV integration than installing equipment.

From accounting for ambient lighting and acoustics during the design stage to installation, programming, training, and ongoing support, an integrator looks at the entire system and how it needs to function in the space.

We take a closer look at what AV integrators do, how we work alongside general contractors, consultants, and IT teams, and why early involvement matters.
