October on 17th Ave… a little cold, a little snowy, but absolutely magical. ❄️🎃

The weather didn't stop an amazing crowd from packing Tomkins Park for our Friday Monster Ball. B!G Art and Le Cirque de la Nuit brought the ultimate Halloween vibe, transforming the space into another dimension with illusions, aerialists, a live DJ, and fire spinners.

Saturday afternoon kept the energy going with Carnival Classics and wonderfully weird encounters from TriXtan Entertainment. From towering stilt walkers taking the fun to new heights, to families and dressed-up pups hitting up our 50+ local trick-or-treat stops, the community spirit was completely unmatched.

Snow and all, October was an unforgettable month on the Ave. 🍂

There’s a massive new splash of color on the Ave! ⚡️🌀 We are obsessed with this vibrant new addition from the 2026 festival.

Titled “Welcome Home Party #10” / “Surge,” this incredible piece by Filipino-born, Calgary-based artist brings so much electric energy to the block.

We’re teaming up with B!G Art and Le Cirque de la Nuit to bring Halloween on 17th to life, with immersive art, cirque performances, and unexpected encounters along the way.
