We are looking for 20 volunteer models to be part of the Werklund Centre Artisan Market & Fashion Showcase!
This is a great opportunity to gain runway experience, work with talented Indigenous and local designers, build your portfolio, and be part of an exciting community event.

Location: Werklund Centre( jack singer lobby)
205 – 8 Avenue SE, Calgary, AB
Date: June 28, 2026
Fashion Showcase: 2:00 PM

What to Expect:
• Designer fittings and styling
• Runway experience
• Professional photos and event coverage
• Images from the event will be shared with participating models
• Water and snacks provided throughout the day

We welcome models of all ages, sizes, genders, and experience levels. Whether this is your first runway or your fiftieth, we'd love to have you join us!

What an incredible day at the Canmore National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebrations!

The artists always have an amazing time in Canmore, and this year was no exception. We are so grateful for the opportunity to bring together Indigenous artists, makers, and community members through the market and new art installation.

A huge thank you to the Town of Canmore and everyone involved for their support, collaboration, and commitment to creating meaningful spaces for Indigenous voices, stories, and creativity. Opportunities like this allow artists to showcase their work in beautiful places, connect with new audiences, and celebrate the richness of Indigenous cultures.

I am truly thankful to work with organizations that recognize the importance of authenticity, representation, and creating platforms where Indigenous artists can share their gifts and knowledge with the broader community.

To all the artists, vendors, performers, volunteers, and visitors who made the day so special—thank you. Your energy, talent, and support made this celebration one to remember.

Canmore, you were amazing. We already can't wait for 2027!

As we wrap up our 2026 Southcentre Pop-Up Market, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to support Indigenous artists, makers, performers, and entrepreneurs throughout the month.

A special thank you to Southcentre Mall for being an incredible partner and for their ongoing commitment to meaningful reconciliation. Partnerships like this demonstrate what is possible when Indigenous-led businesses and organizations are empowered to lead, create, and share culture within community spaces.

While the pop-up market has come to an end, the beautiful Door Installation will remain on display throughout the month. We encourage everyone to stop by, take in the artwork, reflect on the stories being shared, and continue the conversation around Indigenous culture, creativity, and connection.

Thank you to every artist, performer, vendor, volunteer, and visitor who helped make this initiative such a success. Together, we are creating spaces where Indigenous voices, stories, and businesses can thrive.
