PAID GIGS for ORIGINAL Bands!!!!!

In 20 years of organizing and hosting "Battle of the Bands" type showcase events, I have never seen so many participating bands get hired to do paid weekend shows as in the flurry of activity that is going on right now!

Thanks to the diligent work of my co-presenter (& active sponsor!) of this event, Darcy Clendenning of ESP talent agency, Southbound Crow, Less Miserable, Wreckhouse and Stricken One have all been recruited to play their music in some pretty sweet venues:)
And that's just in the first two weeks of the event!!

If you or someone you know have/has a band that plays over half original music, there will never be a better time than RIGHT NOW to register for the AXE MUSIC INDY BAND CHALLENGE & TALENT SEARCH!

And don't forget all the amazing prizes up for grabs; everything from rehearsal time to instrument repairs to studio time to $1500 worth of gear from Axe Music.....winner takes all, but nobody walks away empty handed:)

Tonight's the night!!! The grand finale of the Axe Music Indy Band Challenge & Talent Search at the Pig & Whistle Pub!!!

9 months, 90 bands and now we're down to the final four:
Southbound Crow
Bambi's Axe
The Future Relics
JAB

Come on down and help us decide which of these outstanding independent Calgary bands will walk away with $1500 worth of gear from Axe Music, not to mention all that recording time at AB Records, guitar repairs at Guitar OR and all the other great prizes they've already won.....

Tonight is part 2 of the top 8 in the Axe Music Indy Band Challenge & Talent Search at the Pig & Whistle Pub!!
Last week saw The Future Relics and Bambi's Axe advance to the final 4 (& a shot at the awesome grand prize) on May 12.
Tonight Southbound Crow, Reverend Kill, Shutter and JAB will play off to determine the other 2 finalists:)
Great original music (& a few unique covers) by some of Calgary's best Indy talent.....come on out and support local live music!!!

Tonight is another playoff in the Axe Music Indy Band Challenge and Talent Search!!!

Just a few spots left......register your band now for the Axe Music INDY BAND CHALLENGE & TALENT SEARCH!!!

This is the BIGGEST showcase/original music competition event in Calgary, with more higher end prizes than any other local event and more PAID WEEKEND SHOWS at more different venues handed out to deserving participants!

If you have at least a half hour set of at least 50% original music, you qualify!!!

All genres welcome; new and established groups.....let the music do the talking:) Our venue has full professional sound, including excellent audio techs on site all the time, so you will definitely sound your best....
