While pressure testing some parts for another project, we used a stock 998 rubber charge tube to attach our test equipment. When pressurizing the assembly there was an obvious growth in the stock tube. Out of curiosity, we took the time to measure it at different pressures:
10 psi (stock boost level) - 65 mm (no significant swelling)
15 psi - 66 mm
20 psi - 66.5 mm
25 psi - 67.5 mm
30 psi - 68.5 mm
A silicone piece in the fixture had no measurable swelling at the tested pressures.
Not only are the upgraded charge tubes a great replacement for cracking stock units, it looks like they should be considered for all tuned sleds.
