Hi everybody! Due to restrictions currently in place regarding indoor gatherings we will unfortunately not be able to host the Very Merry Market in 2020.

Please continue to support Maplehurst any way you can as fundraising has become difficult this year. Please also help by supporting all of our community small businesses and Merry Market contributors as they have been affected by Covid 19.

Thank you for all of the support you have given the school and we hope to see you in 2021!

Last week, fellow Maplehurst Mom, Magdalena Harlos unexpectedly lost her husband, Will. Magda's daughter Abigail is in Grade 1 at Maplehurst, and her son Jacob is 2 years old. They are an Aldershot family, and some of you may know Magda from her sewing business (Made by Madzia) as well. She has been both a volunteer and a vendor at the VMM for the past two years.

Magda's family and friends are working to help support her in any way possible right now. A Go Fund Me account and a Meal Train have been set up. I have included links to these both below if you are so inclined to help.

If you know the Harlos Family, you know that Magda and Will are the first people to lend a hand to anyone in need, in any way they can. They have always been generous with their time, resources and talents in ways that have assisted many of us over the years. In that spirit, we are reaching out to the school community for support for them as well.

‘‘Twas the night before The Merry Market and all through the school a bunch of parents were scurrying to stock all the goods. The toys were all stacked in the Kids shopping zone, Jolly Jars and kids crafts all found the right home. The Cakes were all tucked into the fridge with such care and the baked goods displayed a bit here a bit there. The gym was transformed into a market/cafe it is coming so soon I just cannot wait! Tomorrow is the big day. Come out and support Maplehurst Public school and have a great time doing it!!

Two weeks from today the Primary Holiday Concert occurs. Are you sick of rushing to get there early to score the best seat to watch your little one shine? The Silent Auction has just the thing! Front row tickets to the Holiday Concert. You can show up at 6:25 pm walk past all of us who have been there forever and relax and enjoy from the comfort of the front row!! Two more sleeps until the market!
