Folks, I’m working on reactivating/adding all my patterns to my Ravelry store. It’s gonna take a while, so please bear with me.

Also, please forgive me if I remove photos from my pattern store/yarn store that were uploaded by others. Now that I’m on here, I’m going to try to make sure everything is on-brand and accurate for both yarn and patterns, and that will mean removing some of the changes made by others.

If you’ve bought a pattern from me in the past, please let me know and I will add it to your Ravelry library. Could take me awhile, so again, please bear with me! No need to prove it, I’m happy with the honour system if it means less work at the moment for everyone. I trust y’all.

A huge THANK YOU to the people who added me as a friend! I know, somewhere in the ether, people are saying negative things too, so knowing I’ve got a little community on there makes me happy :)

Enough folks have asked, that I feel like it will be a positive experience to rejoin Ravelry. Turns out y’all really prefer to have things in your library!

I’ll be going over my yarns and patterns over the next while to dust things off and get them updated to the correct yardage specs etc.

See the texture on that first slide? Thats our Berry Vanilla shawl pattern, and it’s a perfect demo of why I love gradients. Because the yarn changes so slowly, the stitch patterns can really shine. By contrast, a variegated yarn hides some of the pattern. Gradients are perfect for enjoying those crisp details.

Berry Vanilla is an old staple colour for us; one we don’t dye often anymore. It starts with cream, which changes slowly to a warm pinky purple before deepening into indigo. It’s all the shades of pink and purple all lined up :)

I try to design my shawls to work around our main yardages; 500, 800, 1200 and 1600 yards. You gotta have the tools to use up all that precious yarn!

C’mon little buddy!
To give Mort the best chance of success, I got root starter, bought enriched soil, picked a warm spot with lots of indirect sun, and sacrificed to a volcano. Ok, it was vinegar and baking soda, but still 🤣
