I’m reading for council in between customers today. I’m outside enjoying the gardens waiting for all my budding roses to bloom and the new Watershed Magazine shows up!

And look who is inside! Congratulations Lisa of Owl Grove Roses! It’s difficult to make a stunning magazine more beautiful but you and your roses have done it!

1 Harbour St. Brighton. Be aware of the street closure on Prince Edward, but make your way there!

I discovered I lost a ground rose from this winter so I’ll be there sometime soon for a replacement!

If you are taking the route of Harbour / Prince Edward,

Please be mindful that the construction gravel is enticing the turtles from the wetland to cross the street to lay eggs.

These turtles are all considered Species at RIsk and take 15-20 years to mature to egg laying status.

In Ontario, less than 1% (and sometimes as low as 0.1%) of turtle eggs survive to adulthood to lay their own eggs.

This roughly means only 1 in 1,000 to 1 in 1,400 hatchlings will make it to breeding age.

Do your part to watch the roads after they spend 1-3 hours digging and laying eggs and then return exhausted to their home base.

The speed limit is 40kmh not 70+.

Owl Grove Roses, once you’ve carefully gotten past the turtles, carries the most amazing stock of roses. Which by the way, are about to all go into their first flush. Anyone who’s been to our store know that our three Goldens are our back up Sales Team at the Dutch door at the rear of The Birdhouse.

Today, on our day off, we decided it was time to harness them into the back of the Mini and go for a spin. The amount of dog fur creating a vortex in and around the car as we rolled down highway 2 was a thing to behold.

But it’s always so much fun, regardless of the glitter they leave in their wake. Fergus- Mr. Chill in the centre, Finn on his left providing me with ear kisses and Sadie, forever up and down and up again, was down in this clip.

And don’t worry they are all 3 clipped in to seat belts. ❤️ ❤️❤️🦮🦮🦮

May 28th Update: Despite being told our order was in the queue for fulfillment from a can that had arrived and was being unloaded with all due haste to fulfill orders, our order was either missed or had too many other orders ahead of it and remains in the queue. We are disappointed to say the least....
