PUT YOUR SPIN ON THE SHED π’
The Shed at King is starting a new chapter this year as we open up the space to the community and local businesses to put their spin on the space.
After serving as a pop-up location for our local businesses over the past two years, after much consideration, we feel this space can better serve the community with a single vendor occupying the space for the entire summer.
The Municipality has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) where businesses and community groups are able to submit a proposal for how they would use the space. For RFP details, please visit our website here: https://brighton.bidsandtenders.ca/Module/Tenders/en/Home/BidsHomepage
Please note that you will need to make a free account to be able to access the RFP document.
Proposals will be accepted as Sealed Hard Copy Submissions at the Municipal Centre at 35 Alice Street. Bids made on the forms provided must be submitted before the deadline for submission in a sealed envelope clearly marked βRequest for Proposals β ED 2025-01β at 35 Alice Street, Brighton Ontario, K0K 1H0 and addressed to the following:
Candice Doiron, Municipal Clerk
Municipality of Brighton,
35 Alice Street, 2nd Floor, P.O. Box 189
Brighton, Ontario, K0K 1H0
Bids received after the submission deadline shall be disqualified and the bid deposit, if applicable, returned to the proponent.
A Public opening will be held April 30th, 205 at 1:00pm EST at the following location: 35 Alice Street, Brighton ON, K0K 1H0 within Council Chambers.
A preliminary review and summary of results of the proposal responses will be conducted following the submission deadline by the Municipal Clerk and or designated staff representative. Preliminary results will usually be posted on the municipal website within 48 hours. Final review and award may be subject to Council approval at the next scheduled Council Meeting.
The Municipality, its elected officials, employees and agents shall not be responsible for any liabilities, costs, expenses, loss or damage incurred, sustained or suffered by any bidder, prior or subsequent to, or by reason of the acceptance, or non-acceptance by the Municipality of any proposal, or by reason of any delay in the acceptance of any proposal.
As we take The Shed in a new direction, we want to thank all of our past pop-up vendors who helped us bring the space to life and all of those who visited the space over the last few years. We have big plans for The Shed moving forward and are excited to use this year to set the foundation to bring these plans to life.
