Motor on up to The Granville Affair and make a weekend of the Digby Wharf Rat Rally! 🏍️.

We’ve just had a group cancellation for the long weekend in September, which means a few rooms have unexpectedly opened up for the last-minute planners among you.

If you’re heading to the Digby Wharf Rat Rally, The Granville Affair is just 40 minutes away — close enough to enjoy the roar, camaraderie, bikes, and festivities of the Rally, while giving you a beautiful place to retreat to when the day is done.

After a full day of riding, reconnecting with friends, admiring the bikes, and taking in everything the Wharf Rat Rally has to offer, come back to Bridgetown and wind down in a setting where historic charm meets bold design. It’s a little quieter here, a little more personal, and a lovely change of pace from the bustle of Rally weekend.

And in the morning? Wake up to a hearty breakfast before heading back out for another day of riding and Rally adventures.

Whether you’re travelling with friends, making a last-minute road trip of it, or simply looking for a more memorable place to stay during one of Nova Scotia’s biggest motorcycle gatherings, this unexpected availability won’t last long.

Late August already? We can hardly believe it.

There’s something magical about this time of year in the Annapolis Valley. The fields are at their fullest, the Annapolis River moves steadily through the communities around us, and the Bay of Fundy offers a cool, refreshing escape when the summer sun lingers.

And then there’s coming home to The Granville Affair.

A heritage home filled with art from local artists, inspired by the landscapes and stories of the place we’re lucky enough to call home. Four private guest rooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, offer a quiet retreat after a day spent exploring.

And in the morning? A hearty, locally sourced breakfast to set you on your way.

Wine country. River walks. Bay of Fundy breezes. Local art. Slow mornings.

Late summer and fall were made for exploring the Annapolis Valley — and we’d love to be your home base.

Yesterday, The Granville Affair was alive with laughter, conversation, and wonder as guests gathered to experience the work of and at our inaugural Art Soirée.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so memorable. It was a pleasure to share these remarkable works with you.

If you missed the soirée, you’re still welcome to experience the exhibition. Simply email [email protected], and we’ll be happy to arrange a private time for you to come and see the collection.

Our guests have been especially captivated by the colour, character, and deeply personal interpretations of Nova Scotia’s beautiful landscapes. There is something rather special about discovering the province by day, then returning to a place where its beauty continues to unfold through art as you relax in the evening.

This is part of what we hope to offer at The Granville Affair: a unique Bed and Breakfast experience where thoughtful design, Nova Scotia’s natural beauty, and genuine hospitality come together.

Stay. Explore. Be inspired.

Plan your Annapolis Valley getaway and discover the experience for yourself.

Something beautiful is unfolding at The Granville Affair...

The house is delightfully in chaos—a joyful symphony of colour, texture, and creativity—as we prepare to showcase the extraordinary work of two remarkable Nova Scotia artists: Deborah Misener and Yvonne Addington.

An Open House & Art Exhibition is taking shape, An "ART SOIRREE", and we can't wait to welcome you on Saturday August 15th!

Yvonne Addington's paintings are love letters to coastal Nova Scotia. Her villages, churches, wharves, and working harbours are more than landscapes—they are portraits of a way of life, where the tides set the rhythm, neighbours become family, and beauty is found not in grandeur but in familiarity. Her work reminds us that some of the richest places in the world are the quiet ones, where every road leads home and every horizon carries a promise.

Deborah Misener's palette knife paintings possess a remarkable emotional honesty. She doesn't simply paint flowers or shorelines—she paints atmosphere, memory, and feeling. Thick, sculptural layers of colour invite you to experience each piece before you even begin to study it. Every canvas seems to hold the warmth of a summer evening, the peace of a working harbour, or the joy found in wild gardens bursting into bloom.

Together, their work tells the story of Nova Scotia—not just as a destination, but as a place that stays with you long after you've gone home.

If you're planning an autumn escape to the Annapolis Valley, this is the perfect time to discover what makes our corner of Nova Scotia so unforgettable. Spend your days exploring vineyards, historic villages, the Bay of Fundy coastline, and local artisans... then return to The Granville Affair to unwind surrounded by design, heritage, and now, inspiring local art.

We'll be announcing the Open House date soon.

Until then... stay tuned. Something special is coming.

Historic charm. Thoughtfully reimagined. Art that feels like home. 🎨✨

There's something special about slowing down and letting the road lead the way.

After a hearty breakfast at The Granville Affair, we packed a picnic lunch for ourselves (and, of course, Spa Guy!) and set off on a six-hour adventure along beautiful Digby Neck.

From the Petite Passage Ferry to colourful fishing docks, quiet parks, hidden coves, and winding back roads, every turn revealed another reason to linger. This is one of those corners of Nova Scotia that rewards curiosity—where the journey is just as memorable as the destination.

The best part? Knowing that after a full day of exploring, we could return to The Granville Affair, put our feet up, relax in comfort, and start dreaming about tomorrow's adventure.

If you're planning an Annapolis Valley getaway, don't rush. Pack a lunch, take the scenic route, ride the ferries, and leave room in your itinerary for the unexpected. Sometimes the hidden treasures become the highlights of your trip.

Where would you stop first along Digby Neck?
