A Harvard study of 487,375 adults found that people who ate spicy food nearly every day had a 14% lower risk of mortality during the study period compared to those who ate it less than once a week 🌶️

Frequent spicy food eaters also showed lower rates linked to:

🫁 Respiratory disease
🎗️ Certain cancers

Researchers tracked participants over 7 years, with even stronger associations seen in people who didn’t drink alcohol. Fresh and dried chili peppers were the most commonly consumed spices.
