Every year on September 30th, people across Canada recognize and honour Orange Shirt Day (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation).

This day provides each of us with the opportunity to:

🧡 Educate people to have meaningful discussions about the impact of residential schools and the harmful legacy they have left behind
🧡 Promote awareness and spur global conversation about the inequalities and ongoing struggles that Indigenous people continue to face to this day
🧡 Recognize the strength and resilience of survivors, their families and the Indigenous community

Today, BCHS staff, physicians and volunteers show their support that by wearing orange. The flags at Brantford General Hospital and The Willett in Paris have also been lowered to half-mast.

Looking to give back to your community and volunteer in a fun, welcoming atmosphere? Gifts Plus is actively recruiting volunteers to expand our team. Great for students looking to complete their volunteer hours!

In addition, we're looking for someone with social media experience to help expand our presence online. A keen eye for design is a must!

Local vendor spotlight!

We're excited to introduce : a momtrepreneur ran business from Lynden, ON. She makes these very cute, whimsical bows for children. Lots of designs and colours to choose from, even ones for those coffee fueled mamas! We're so excited to be given the opportunity to carry this wonderful product. Hi everyone 👋
We've been a bit quiet on here lately, so we wanted to pop on here and say THANK YOU! Thank you for all the support we've received over the past 17 months. To say there has been a lot of ups and downs with Gifts Plus is an understatement. Thank you to all our volunteers, your positivity has been motivation to keep going. Thank you to our valued customers who have reached out to tell us how much they've missed us. Being open again and bringing joy to our customers has made it all worth it. We're looking forward to the months ahead and excited to show you all the new things coming up!
