June at K’boodle ☀️🌈🎓💙

June always feels a little different.

The days get longer, the weather gets warmer, and there’s an excitement in the air that comes with a new season beginning.

This month also gives us the opportunity to celebrate so many important moments. We celebrate Pride Month, a time to recognize, support, and uplift the LGBTQ+ community.
We celebrate Father’s Day, honouring dads, grandfathers, stepdads, father figures, and all those who show up with love and guidance. And we celebrate students, teachers, and families as another school year comes to a close.

At K’boodle, we believe every person, every story, and every small business adds something special to our community.
June is a reminder of the importance of connection, kindness, acceptance, and celebrating the people who make our communities stronger.

Whether you’re shopping for a Father’s Day gift, looking for a unique teacher appreciation gift, supporting a local artisan, or simply enjoying the sunshine, we hope you’ll stop in and see us this month.

“I’m an artist.”
“Oh really? What kind of art?”

Actually, I take other people’s “art” and turn it into a different kind of art. Stunning displays aren’t possible without stunning products, and my canvas just happens to be shelves, corners, and little spaces.
My art is creating homes for hundreds of other artists and bringing their work together in a way that makes people stop, look, and smile.

POV: You work at K’boodle and somehow your paycheck keeps finding its way right back into the store 😂

It’s not just us owners.
The staff are just as guilty …. honestly they will admit it!

One minute you’re cleaning and restocking…
The next minute you’re standing at the cash desk buying “just one thing” for yourself. 😂

Then suddenly you’re leaving with candles, earrings, snacks, bath products, cups, and gifts you definitely didn’t plan on buying.

Working at K’boodle is basically:
✔ straighten shelves
✔ help customers
✔ restock products
✔ accidentally spend half your paycheck

The real employee hazard?
Working around amazing handmade small businesses every day.

This might be a good time to try again.

Our stores are constantly evolving. Spaces open unexpectedly, categories shift, and what we’re looking for can change month to month. Just because it wasn’t the right fit before doesn’t mean it won’t be now.

Right now, our Starter Spaces are FULL and product categories like these are extremely limited :
• Jewelry
• Crochet
• Candles
• Body products
• 3D Print items

But we are actively looking for businesses offering:

💫 Hair accessories
💫 Baby & kids items
💫 Food & treats
💫 Charcuterie/serving boards

And here’s something many people don’t realize…

Our Cataraqui Centre and Lansdowne Place locations will be closed today, although the malls themselves will be open.
