Some of you may know, and some may not, but there has been a lot going on with my family over the past month. My MATCH has had a tonsillectomy with some complications, and now my beautiful Mum has had a stroke (or so we believe). She is in the stroke ward at the hospital, but is still undergoing tests.

I am trying to keep making beautiful candles for you all, but the pace is slower due to the events at hand. Thank you for your patience.

On this PINK FULL MOON day, I would like to release a candle that represents one of my mum's favourite characters and books:

Melanie Hamilton – Comforting Heart, Quiet Strength ✨

There are some characters who do not demand attention… yet leave the deepest imprint on our hearts. Melanie Hamilton is one of them; gentle, loyal, and unwavering in her kindness, even in the most difficult of times.

This candle is a tribute to her quiet grace and the warmth she brings to those around her.

It opens with soft citrus petals and calming green tea, unfolding into a comforting heart of lavender and rose wrapped in a warm, flannel-like embrace, and settles into a soothing base of patchouli, sweet amber, and delicate musk.

The result is a scent that feels like home, like being wrapped in warmth on a cold winter’s day. Calm, nurturing, and deeply reassuring.

Light this candle when you need stillness, when the world feels heavy, or when you simply wish to surround yourself with gentle comfort.

🕯️ A reminder that strength does not always roar — sometimes it lives quietly in kindness, grace, and an unwavering heart.

Surgery for my MATCH and I needed a little "stress" knit project while I waited in the hospital 🏥 (yesterday) and until we get him through the 14 days of healing. So, here are the tonsillectomy socks, so far. They have given me a pain reflecting the pain he's in but we're getting there.

Originally I had made a different heel but I wasn't happy with the colour choice so tore it out. Then, while doing my decreases, I was in a zone of lack of sleep and empathy for his pain, and decreased too much. I then had to Frog back 8 rows. That's knitting! It's also the exactly reason why I didn't want to be working on my larger projects right now. It's easy to rip out part of a sock but a colorwork sweater or patterned shawl - no thank you.

So, as I said, we're both on our way, slow and steady and we'll get there, eventually. ♥️

I've reached what for me is the point I've been waiting and dreaming of... DENIM BLUE.

The spectacular calmness of the natural alpaca tone and bleached cream tone allow the soft neutral blue to become a star of my shawl, while also supporting, and bringing out the beauty of the natural tones. I'm thrilled with the outcome so far. I look forward to the continued progression.

✨ Can You Guess the Heroine? ✨

She’s a character of gentle grace and quiet strength, the kind of person who gives love and loyalty without asking for attention in return. 💛

Her story unfolds in the deep South, where she navigates both society and heart with warmth, courage, and unwavering kindness. She’s remembered for her steadfast devotion and the calm light she brings to those around her.

Who do you think this candle is inspired by? Take a guess in the comments! 👀

Hint: Her kindness is her quiet power.
