Every Friday (unless there is a major event or holiday), Around the Block Quilt Shop transforms into your local community crafty room for Finishing Friday!

✨ The Details:
The Cost: Free. Always.
When: Most Fridays 10am to 5pm

What to Bring: Bring any project you want to work on—whether you are cutting, piecing, or adding the final binding. Heck, if you are a crochet or knitting nut, come too!

The Perks: We have pressing stations ready to use! Coffee and kettle are always on, and we even have a mug ready for you!

The Atmosphere: We provide the space, the tables, and plenty of inspiration.

Have you always wanted to make a quilt but didn't know where to start? Our Learn to Quilt class is designed just for you! We use a simple layer cake to take you from start to finish, ensuring you walk away with a completed quilt top and the confidence to keep sewing.

✨ From Stash to Showstopper: The Echo Lake Journey! ✨
Have you ever looked at a fabric in your stash and thought, "I love you, but what do I do with you?"

That’s exactly how Lindsay’s latest project began! Using the Echo Lake pattern by Canadian designer , Lindsay decided to shop her own stash first to find her starting point.

🧵 The "Stash + Shop" Strategy:
The Starting Point: Lindsay pulled several "must-use" fabrics from her home collection—prints she loved but hadn't found the right home for yet.

The Perfect Match: She brought those fabrics into the shop, where we spent time auditioning new bolts to pull the whole palette together. Key "must have" fabrics included the plaid fabrics from the Cannon Beach line!

The Result: By mixing unused or leftover fabrics from home with carefully selected new pieces, the quilt top gained a unique, curated depth.

💡 Why We Love This:
Mixing your stash with new fabrics is the best of both worlds. It allows you to use those "beloved" pieces you’ve already invested in while giving you the thrill of a fresh project.
