Rain or shine!!!

There is sure to be an abundance of fresh homemade goodies, beautiful crafts and skin care products, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables from Nova Scotian farms.

We can’t believe it, but we’re on the tail end of the 2026 season, so come enjoy it while it lasts, as our last market of the season will be on September 19th!

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us again this year, you are appreciated more than you’ll ever know.

After the market season your board of executives will keep on keeping on with the planning for the new building on Sherose Island. We’re already excited for next year, and hope you are, too.

We’ll keep you in the loop right here with any new exciting developments.

Elsbeth and Maisy came to the Barrington Farmers’ Market a couple of weeks ago.

They are planning on visiting all of the 44 farmers markets in Nova Scotia this season.
We were number 22, so they were halfway!

Good morning all on this beautiful rainy morning.

We, the farmers, gardeners and the trees are grateful for these regular rainfalls of the past month or so, and it is peace of mind for many on dug wells.

While August plugs along we’re here to share details of another wonderful Saturday morning market from 9-12 at Forest Ridge Academy.

We’re so thankful we have had this wonderful location to utilize all season, so let’s hear it for those that have been involved in making this possible while we continue to work away at getting the details in place for our new pavilion on Sherose Island. 👏🏿 👏👏👏🏿👏🏿

This week our vendors are getting things ready.
You’ll find fresh fruits, veggies, fresh cut flowers, fresh baked goodies of all kinds, including sourdough. The sourdough flavour of the week is cranberry & orange 🍊

We have a new vendor joining us tomorrow, as well as face painting for the kids!

Fresh food, and wonderful company is served up every Saturday at the Barrington Farmers’ Market.

Well August seems to be flying by, here we are already close to our second weekend of the month, and we’re looking forward to hosting you again this Saturday from 9-12 at Forest Ridge Academy with all our lovely vendors and their wares.

We’re also hosting the lovely Miss Amanda at the Kids Market Club this week; she’ll be there to paint the faces of any little who want to join in on the fun!
We are so excited she’s going to be joining us.

We’re sharing a few pictures here of last week’s market, and also pictured is some fresh baked sourdough to whet your appetite 😋 so many flavours to choose from.

Come see what’s new and fresh this week, summer is in full swing so come and enjoy the flavours of summer, and please bring the kids and grandkids to get their faces painted.
