It's ! Located 15 min west of Barrie and just east of Angus at 8463 Line 5, Angus, ON L0M 1B1.

Pick up is on Thursday, Friday or Saturday between 10 and 5pm.

If you are a CSA member at the farm you can pick up your order on Wednesdays.

Please note that while orders will be left in a weather proof bin, heat sensitive products may not do well depending on the weather.

Have you been to Moondance yet? It's a beautiful space with the best people around.

When someone says refilling is too hard I say....I'm going to have to disagree with you there!

What you need is a change of habit.

Break the cycle!

You buy a new bottle of dish soap.
you tell yourself when it's empty you're going to refill it.
Then one day you're hunkering down to get some dishes done and...you're out of dish soap.

So what do you do? Call someone to grab some on their way home from work? Add it to your next shopping list?

Here's what you should do:
order a prefilled jar of dish soap NOW! (or have a container of your choosing filled!)

Then when your dish soap bottle is empty you have a zero waste replacement ready to go!

Set it aside and have it refilled again! you've created a new habit which is going to set you up on the path to low waste living.

It's like having a little Costco stock pile without the consumer guilt.

How to put on mineral sunscreen so you don't look like a 👻

Put on a little at time. Blend it in and then see if you need more. Use a mirror and make sure your skin is well moisturized first.

I can also put the sunscreen into a refillable squeeze tube if you find the jar method a little messy.

Do you know the difference between these two sunscreens?

🔵The blue one is a chemical sunscreen. It absorbs into your skin and changes how the UV interacts with it.
🔵It's in an aerosol can which makes it easy in inhale (and once you know what's in this stuff you really, really won't want to inhale it...I'm thinking of you PFAS)
🔵This type was recalled last summer due to Benzene contamination (a toxin with health and cancer risks)
🔵Contains known skin irritants.
🔵 Contains ingredients which are known to harm aquatic life.
🔵Only recyclable if empty. Otherwise must be taken to hazardous waste!
🔵Not refillable!

My refilled jar is:
☀️A mineral sunscreen. It creates a barrier on your skin and blocks the sun (technically a sunblock)
☀️ Safe ingredients, especially for kids and those with sensitive skin.
☀️a much better choice while swimming and around the water because it will not damage aquatic life.
☀️ Refillable!

Mineral sunscreens tend to go on thicker and can take a bit of practice to apply. My advice is to use a mirror while your learning and only use a bit at a time. If you're putting in on your kids it's easiest before you get them dressed!

This little jar has been to many beaches. I toss it in the beach bag with everything else. We also have refillable squeeze tubes if the glass jar isn't your thing!

Refill and feel Empowered.

Seriously, knowing you're creating less waste (even recyclable waste) is such a great feeling.

Have you tried deodorant yet? It's the best! Refill one of your empty deodorant jars or any other container that suits your fancy.

If you would like to give it a sniff before buying come on out to Saturday, June 18th between 10 and 3. Bring your own container, buy a prefilled jar or pick a donated jar to fill up!

So excited to share that Neighbourhood Refillery will be partnering with 🥦

Located just west of Angus, Moondance Organic Gardens is bursting with fresh produce and locally made goodies.

Find me there this Saturday between 10am and 3pm. I will have samples, prefilled mason jars, donated jars and lots of amazing refill products! (including something new!)

💧 Prefill Deposit Jar Update💧

When I first opened Neighbourhood Refillery I got a super good deal on a bunch of mason jars.

But the time has come for me to purchase some more and I need to increase the deposit price to $2 a jar. This covers the cost of the jar, replacement lids should the they need one and the stickers that go on them for identification (I got some nice new ones too!)

So, as of now the deposit fee is now $2 and is still fully refundable!

As always I can also refill your own container or you can ask for your order to be filled in donated jars for no extra cost!

2 filling options if you don't know how much fits:

1. Give it your best estimate (I'll refund any product that does not fit or put it into another container)

2. Let me know if you want the container full, half full or, "just a little bit". I will fulfill your order and let you know how much it was after.
