Get up close to glittering star clusters and glowing Nebulae, and marvel at the Milky Way Galaxy the help of one of our NB Star Party Ambassadors.. The tour is delivered by a friendly, knowledgeable and passionate guide, with all astronomy equipment provided. Highlights

• If you are located in a dark sky area (Bortle 0-4), then no need to travel as the tour provider will come to you. If you are in urban centres or heavily light polluted neighbourhoods, we will find a great location not too far.
• Minimum Stargazing tour duration of 2 hours.

Did you miss our event with First Nations Storytellers at Parc New River Beach Park last night, thinking the clouds were not going to clear?

4-Join us around 9:00 PM tonight for more stargazing and nightscape photography fun at the soon to be certified Dark Sky International New River Beach Provincial Park. 🌌☀️ What an unforgettable celestial celebration at Mount Carleton Provincial Park!

Last night, visitors gathered beneath some of New Brunswick’s darkest skies for an exciting evening of stargazing. From incredible celestial sights to the wonder and excitement shared by onlookers of all ages, there were plenty of smiles, memorable moments and eyes looking skyward! 🔭✨🌠

Then today, the heavens delivered another spectacular show with the partial solar eclipse! Guests safely watched as the Moon passed across the face of the Sun—an extraordinary sight made even more special against the magnificent backdrop of Parc Provincial Mt. Carleton Provincial Park. 🌙☀️🕶️

Two days, two remarkable celestial experiences and countless memories made under the skies of northern New Brunswick. Thank you to everyone who joined Cliff Valley Astronomy for the adventure—and helped make these events so much fun!

🌞🌑✨ A BIG CELESTIAL DAY IS HERE! ☄️🔭

Today, **August 12, New Brunswick gets a spectacular double-header in the sky — a partial solar eclipse this afternoon, followed by the Perseids meteor shower tonight! 🌞🌑➡️🌌☄️

Cliff Valley Astronomy and Dark Sky Destinations are excited to help you safely experience **two incredible astronomical events in a single day!**

🌞🌑 THIS AFTERNOON: PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE

As the Moon moves across part of the Sun, remember one incredibly important rule:

⚠️ **NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WITHOUT PROPER EYE PROTECTION.**

😎 Use only certified eclipse glasses designed specifically for solar viewing. Regular sunglasses — even very dark ones — are NOT safe.

📷 Cameras, binoculars, and telescopes also require proper solar filters mounted securely over the front of the optics. Never look through an unfiltered telescope or binoculars while wearing eclipse glasses.

👧🧒 Please pay special attention to children. Make sure their eclipse glasses fit properly, are undamaged and stay securely over their eyes **before they look toward the Sun. Young children should be closely supervised throughout the eclipse.

Their eyesight is far more important than getting a glimpse of the eclipse. ❤️

☄️🌌 TONIGHT: THE PERSEIDS!

Once the Sun goes down, the show moves from the Sun to the stars!

After approximately 10:00 PM, you should slowly begin spotting Perseid meteors — those beautiful “shooting stars” streaking across the night sky. 🌠

As darkness continues to deepen, expect the Perseids to become increasingly noticeable in both number and brightness. Find the darkest location you can, get comfortable, give your eyes time to adjust and look up!

No telescope required. 👀🌌

The skies are putting on an incredible show, and Cliff Valley Astronomy is proud to be leading the way with an exciting week of celestial experiences across the province!

🇨🇦 As Canada's leading astrotourism company, we're thrilled to welcome visitors from near and far—including a group travelling from Maryland, USA—to experience New Brunswick's spectacular dark skies. This week also includes interviews with Radio-Canada, helping share our province's growing reputation as one of Canada's premier stargazing destinations.

📅 Here's what's happening:

🌌 Tonight – We're hosting our guests from Maryland for an unforgettable night under the stars.

🎙️ This week – A couple interview with Radio-Canada.

☀️🌙 Wednesday (August 12) – Join us for the Partial Solar Eclipse, beginning around 1:30 PM, at Parc Provincial Mt. Carleton Provincial Park and ONE DAY - TWO BIG CELESTIAL EVENTS - MIDDLE ISLAND, MIRAMICHI. Then, beginning at 9:30 PM, we'll turn our eyes to the night sky for guided stargazing and one of the year's most anticipated celestial events—the **Perseid Meteor Shower! 🌠

🌊 Friday & Saturday – We're heading to Parc New River Beach Park for two spectacular nights of guided stargazing, with on-site activities beginning at 8:00 PM both nights.

⚠️ Solar Eclipse Safety Reminder
If you're planning to observe Wednesday's partial solar eclipse, ONLY use certified eclipse glasses and approved solar filters on cameras, binoculars, telescopes, and even smartphones. Never look directly at the Sun without proper protection.
