The social side may have been a little quieter lately…
but the studio certainly hasn’t been.

Between resin pours,
touch-ups,
moving furniture,
heat guns,
plastic wrap,
and a shop that currently looks like creative chaos won the battle…

new details are slowly beginning to emerge.

A small glimpse today from the top of the Alchemy Tool Cabinet —
layers of lace, florals, shadow, and texture beginning to find their place before the upcoming photoshoot.

Today…the wall art begins gathering its history.

Somewhere between torn paper, texture, and shadow…
the surface finally begins to feel aged rather than created
fragments settling into one another —less like decoration, and more like pieces of an old surface slowly being uncovered.

The goal was never perfection.

Only the feeling that this piece has quietly existed for a very long time.

An early morning in the studio…

Wrapped pieces waiting for their resin tops to cure,
layers settling into place,
and the quiet hope that everything dries exactly the way it should.

Fingers crossed that there is no suicidal insects in the resin.

Because discovering one tiny bug permanently entombed in an otherwise flawless finish has been known to cause very dramatic language in the studio.

This is where it begins.

Not smooth. Not even.

Just a surface built up in layers… some heavier than others, some barely there at all.

I don’t try to control this part too much.

The ridges, the breaks, the uneven patches —
they’re what everything else will settle into later.

If the base is too perfect, nothing really holds.

So I stepped back, looked at it properly this morning,
and realized this section needs to push further.

Not fixed. Not finished.

But this is where it’s starting.
