So… insert public announcement emoji!!! Allow me to introduce my new business partner!! JJ doesn’t need much of an introduction to most. She has been an integral part of our organization for the past two years, and I’m so excited to let you in on our secret that she is officially my new partner in crime🥰 . JJ is a born and raised Torontonian, however thanks to her wonderful better half, she was finally swayed to see the light and put down roots in the valley. How did I find JJ you may ask? Allow me to tell you! True story: I was driving my kids to school one day, as one does when they miss the bus😉🤣, I happened to see this lovely woman walking her kindergartener to school whilst pushing a stroller. I had the feeling our paths were destined to cross. I offered her a job and a few years later, I am very pleased to announce she is now co-owner of The Arnprior Book Shop LTD@ @(White Pine books, White Pine Kids and The Pines Rides). JJ you’ve become my confidant, my amazing friend I hope you’ll be my “work wife” for many years to come! Lemons🍋😉

From now on, all complaints can be directed towards JJ😉

I attended and [briefly] co-hosted a community fashion show last evening, and here is what I observed, learned + realized:

💃🏻I observed approximately 100 women dressed up and feeling fabulous - whether this was the volunteer models or those that purchased tickets. Not only were they dressed up, but you could tell how their outfits created this magnetic energy that was absolutely contagious.

💃🏻I learned that it’s so important to surround yourself with likeminded individuals that share the same values, work ethic, mindset (high vibes only plz) and goals as you. When the opportunity rises, choose collaboration in order for great things to happen.

💃🏻I observed the volunteer modules absolutely killing it up on stage - they were so courageously confident and allowed their authentic selves to shine. Getting up on stage in front of others isn’t easy, however, they didn’t allow fear to take over. After a few rounds, they were strutting their stuff with the largest smile on their faces.

💃🏻This also made me realize how it’s important to choose courage over fear. Stepping outside of your comfort zone and just doing it is better than staying statement and not taking steps forward (but wishing you did).

Remember, style is more than putting together a cute outfit. It’s saying to yourself that you’re worth getting ready and feeling beautiful in your clothes. It shows that you want to prove to yourself that you’re worth showing up for. It allows you to feel self-expressed and empowered.
