Main Street Christmas 2025 is now in the books! Our day started out extremely cold, but thatdidn't keep people away. We had a fun filled day with lots of things to keep families busy. There are so many people to thank. First, I would like to thank Gwen Taylor for another fantastic job at organizing such a great craft show. You have out done yourself again. My next big thank you goes out to Judy Naylen for all you work in setting up and organizing the best gingerbread contest around. The gingerbread houses are getting more and more creative each year. Thanks for setting up the passports for the kids along with everything else that goes on at the legion. The Arcola Curling Club started our day off with a yummy pancake breakfast, the Arcola Optimist Club put on a Christmas movie for everyone in the afternoon. The high school kids came and st up the hall and then came early to help vendors get in amd then came back and helped them out as well as the clean up, and the yearbook kids did our Santa pictures this year! The Arcola Co-op set up by our snow hill and worked with the Arcola Fire Department to do a big bonfire and hot dog roasting. Keegan Smyth thank you for your special job. Our Christmas tree at the town office was beautifully decorated by the elementary kids and their beautiful hamdmade ornaments. Thanks to our town maintenance dept, Colin Clarke amd Dominique Berger for clearing our streets so fast and building us a great snow hill to play on. The kids had a blast on it and will get alot of use on it. Thanks to Dennis Lawton for donating all the wood for our fire pit, JJ Trucking for the light tower and Arcola Foods for all the fixings for hot chocolate to keep us warm. We had lots of businesses involved with today as well. Thanks to the Arcola Public Library, Cornerstone Credit Union, Buddy's Pub, Moose Mountain Reformed Baptist Church, Autumn Downey and Glorious Mud Pottery, Kevin Paton Antiques and Jim Paton Antiques. There is one more big Thank You to go out. That is to everyone who volunteered, came out and helped with whatever was needed and donated to our raffle tables. Without all of our great volunteers we would not be able to do these wonderful community events. If I have missed anyone, I am sorry and thank you for helping out with our special day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Cathy Burton and A Main Street Christmas!
