Looking for something fun and hands-on this Family Day weekend? Join us at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum February 14th, 15th, and 16th for an exciting model-building experience!

🛠 Three one-hour building sessions each day

🎯 Eight different wooden model kits to choose from:

• Four different marks of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire (with your choice of markings!)
• de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk
• Hawker Hurricane
• Messerschmitt Bf 109
• Canadair CT-114 Tutor

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Classes are limited to 15 students, ages 10 and up.
Younger builders are welcome with a parent’s helping hand — after all, it’s Family Day!

This is the perfect opportunity to try one of these unique wooden model kits while exploring everything happening at the museum.

New product!
Keeping in theme with our last post of the Lobster Boat, OMK introduces the East Coast Lighthouse kit in 1:48 scale. This is virtually the same as our N and HO scale kits other then the wood sizes used have been adjusted to accommodate for the scale and of course is bigger!

Height 9.25”
Base 4.25”x4.25”

This kit is very easy to build; it utilizes interlocking construction and there are no special tools required. Most people will have everything that is needed to build this kit, but if not, it is readily available from a local hardware store.

At Osborn Model Kit we are not just interested in model trains, we enjoy aviation as well. Especially anything to do with Canadian aviation like the Avro Arrow, a true Canadian icon. NEW KIT!

OMK has created this beautiful 1:12th scale kit of The iconic East Coast Dory, once a common sight on the eastern shores of Canada.

The kit features quality laser cut plywood and basswood parts. Easy build construction using provided jigs to aid in the assembly. A fully illustrated instruction manual is also included. This kit was designed for the amateur model builder.

Just a thanks to all the people that came out to the dedication ceremony on Saturday at the Warplane Heritage Museum. It was great to see so many people take an interest in helping to keep our Canadian War history alive. Also thanks to all the visitors that stopped by our model display, there were lots of interesting conversations. Hope to do a display again soon.

Special Event!
Osborn Model Kits will be at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on June 7 2025 displaying our Aviation kits. We will also be doing demos of some of the products being built as well we will have some new designs on display that will be coming in the future.
This display is in conjunction with the dedication ceremony of the Museums Spitfire to the markings of Squadron Leader Thomes DeCourcy. To correspond with the dedication, we have done up our Spitfire XVIe kit 6064 in the marking of TD239, the aircraft S/L Thomes DeCourcy flew. The Museum gift shop will have stock on hand of this kit.

New Product Announcement!
OMK is pleased to present the Steel “I” Beam load. This quick and easy kit makes a great addition to that empty flat car. This load is designed to fit 50’ and 60’ flat or bulkhead cars or could be even used in a building scene somewhere on a layout. The kit includes eight 40’ “I” beams, two wooden spacers and vinyl straps.
This kit is available now, look for this kit on our website or at your local hobby shop. The retail price of the HO scale kit 1143 is $9.99 and the N scale kit 3143 is $7.99.
