Have you been trying to build you business through social media? Are you having a hard time building social trust online? Is your business just not seeing returns from Facebook ads?😒😒
If you're asking those questions now, you've probably been asking this one before;
How can Facebook posts bring my local business new customers? 🤔🤔
Our local social media clients are seing their posts reach more than 8x their number of followers and their posts receive hundreds of engagements generating real traffic for their businesses. 🤩🤩
How are we and other local businesses performing so well?⁉️⁉️
In a word? 🔥 Engagement.🔥
Engagement is how people interact with your brand, product, or business via social media. Facebook is the world's largest and most effective marketing platform. The Social Network reached it's lofty plateau by being so much more than television and billboards could ever be. 📺📺
Social media allows you to engage with your customers through likes, comments, shares, and follows. These tiny little investments from people allows them to connect, and stay connected, to your business. It can personify your brand, cement products in people's minds, and engrain your location deep into the community. 👍🏼❤️💬
Engagement is your connection to your community through social media. It's the trust your customers build in the real world, through the vehicle of a virtual web.
So, we can see how this social media engament can influence local customers to choose our products and services, but how do we cultivate this engagement?
To maintain and grow our community's interactions with our business, our daily posts have three vital requirements.
Almost every post we share should have the best possible content, copy, and reach to connect with customers and generate attention for our brands. We will go more in depth with each of these 3 essential parts of good social media posts. 🤳✍️👀
1. Content is the foundation of our social presence. Every post we use to connect with our audience should feature attention-holding visual content.🗺️
Photos that grab the eye and provide more details than words convey in a moment. Detailed images of products and services, welcoming pictures of your store or restaurant, or images and videos of customers enjoying your products and services inform customers and bring their attention to you.
If you have a local business, chances are, you're involved in your local community. Content featuring your community and your business' involvement in the community builds trust with the people around you. People gravitate towards each other; remind your community that your business was there with them and they will naturally come back to you.
2. Copy, the written words that accompany anything we publish, is the material from which our social connection is built. Copy is how we communicate directly and purposefully with our customers. It must be clear, well worded and free of grammatical errors. ✍️💭
Copy that engages your customers is conversational. It is long form writing that conveys specific emotions and understanding of products and services. You can almost always give clients more to read as long as it is engaging.
Many businesses put no more effort into writing effective copy than "Product X, 20% OFF This weekend only!" This hard sell often does more harm than good in an environment where discerning and savvy customers have endless options and therefore give their business to the brands that emotionally connect with them.👏👏
What interests your consumer more? A single line of text offering a discount and a deadline or several lines informing the public of ways that a successful product has benefitted many people and is now being offered at a discounted rate so that more members of the community can access this product? Simply adding a few lines giving reasons behind a discount can be so much more effective.
Cultivating a conversation through copy also requires responding to every comment left on your posts. Give the community a way to provide feedback and show that it has been received. This builds trust and keeps your product in customers' minds and all it costs is the time to engage with people that support your business. 📬📬
3. Great content and copy serves no one without reach. Reach is what connects your Social Media to the rest of the world; it is how many people actually see your posts. 📈📈
There are two ways for your posts to reach the world around you, organic reach and paid reach.
Organic reach comes from the community. Shares, likes, and comments inform Facebook that your content is good, so they show it to more people. The more you engage your customers by giving them content they like and copy that creates conversations, the more they will help more people see it. Ask questions and respond to every comment to take full advantage of organic reach. ♻️♻️
With strong organic reach comes the opportunity to get in front of many more people with paid reach. Facebook provides the platform to show content people are engaging with to thousands of new people every day that might not have seen your posts before through paid reach. ‼️‼️
If your business is one that takes pride in its products and services and your social media reflects this with great content, engaging copy, and strong organic reach, paid reach can quickly help scale your business to the next level with many new customers. 🤩🤩
With these strategies and the powerful tool of Social Networking our businesses can generate real traffic and revenue by creating and sharing engaging content. We can build trust with our community and make our brands the most memorable even to people who haven't yet directly experienced our services.📶
With more connections and options than ever before available, our businesses must have strong social media presences and must be able to connect with customers.📳
What are some businesses you've seen that do this well? What brands do you feel like are a part of your life and what services are you quick to recommend? Do you have friends who's business needs better social connections? Don't hesitate to mention them in the comments, they might really benefit from this information and thank you later.🙏🙏
