This week I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Puebla, Mexico 🇲🇽 to take a course in Montaje de Telas… and I am honestly in love with everything about it! ✨

I’ve learned so many new techniques and styles of ceiling draping that I’m beyond excited to now offer through SD Events 🤍

This experience has pushed my creativity even further, and I can’t wait to bring these elegant, luxurious ceiling designs to your weddings, parties, and special events.

Hi everyone… it’s finally time I introduce myself 🤍
For the longest time, you’ve seen my work…
the balloons, the backdrops, the late nights, the beautiful events…
But you haven’t really seen me.
So today, I want to change that.
My name is Shanini Del Cid-August the woman behind SD Events.
Before anything else, I’m a wife to an incredibly supportive husband and a proud mommy to two beautiful children who inspire me every single day.
They are my why. They are the reason I push harder, dream bigger, and never give up.

What many people don’t know is…
this business didn’t start as a big plan or a big investment.
It started as a hobby.
Just me… being creative… self thought..decorating for fun… trying something I loved.
And little by little, God opened doors.
One client became two.
Two became ten.
And before I knew it… my “little hobby” became my full-time career.
Now we’re almost 3 years in service, and I won’t lie, the journey hasn’t been perfect.
There were mistakes.
There were stressful nights.
There were moments I questioned myself.
But there were also victories… growth… … and the most beautiful feeling of seeing my clients smile when they walk into their event.
And that feeling?
That’s what keeps me going.
Today, I’m choosing to show up more, invest in myself, grow professionally, and step fully into the woman and business owner I’m becoming.
Because this is more than decor to me.
This is my heart.
My passion.
My family’s future.
