Public Notice: Application for Special Protection Licence

The Fi****ms and Ammunition Control Board (FACB) hereby announces that applications are now open for individuals interested in obtaining a Special Protection Licence.

Required Documents:
1. Completed Licence Application Form.
2. Two (2) certified copies of a photo ID (one must be a valid social security card or passport).
3. Proof of address.
4. A valid Certificate of Conduct (Police Record).
5. Two (2) letters of attestation (excluding immediate family members) regarding the applicant’s character, with one letter from a Justice of the Peace.
6. Certification, accompanied by the results of the competence test, from an authorized Firearm Safety Instructor. (see list below)
7. Proof of payment for the licence application.
8. A written letter stating the reason(s) for the application.

Application forms are available on the ministry’s website at https://www.homeaffairs.gov.bz/

Application fees are to be paid at the police stations or at the Belmopan Police Headquarters.

Completed forms, along with the required documents, are to be submitted at the following address:
