Locked in to the best of my capacity and got reminded of the power of alignment 🙏🏾✨
Friday night, one of the girls I’d helped prior came to sit with me. After a long day of juggling art-sustainability and human relations😅 at first I was worried I’d be too grumpy to hold space for the conversation. But I indulged her warmly and I’m so glad I did 😍🥹
She told me straight up how the my speech at the last Gayo& Matuti workshop changed her life for the better. The very next day? I watched her at the market selling stuff she learnt how to make—but she took it ten steps forward, bringing her own designs and innovations to the table.
Like duuude whaaat?! 🤯 Quantum leaps!
And then getting those positive affirmations in the Market right after? Major shock weaves my small steps make a difference and even when I don’t see it I need to keep going.
I’m not gonna lie, getting to the Enko Cultural Market was stressful!
Leaving my prior job to leap into sustainability works - Stressful!. I’ve been out here changing occupations, juggling samples, and trying to connect the dots between Matuti, freelancing, and business registration. Absolute madness. Then here comes Jane telling me we’re throwing two graduates into the mix…
What?🤓a few days before?💀I panicked. 😅
But then I made peace with it. And seeing the real impact in translation that Jane implemented? Wow. It’s a full circle. Matuti sponsored their stall, and seeing them out there selling the mats, earrings, and crafts they learnt to make from the Gayo and Matuti workshop I facilitated… it makes every bit of the hustle worth it.
We really out here changing lives. 🌱🎒💼
