Elements by Florence St. George and Freya Bramble-Carter is still on view until January 14th, 2023.

In the background of this fountain is a painting by Bahamian artist Tessa Whitehead, entitled 'Mother II' (2022). Whitehead is a multi-media artist working primarily in painting. Her work is rooted in ancestral landscapes and the interpersonal relationships formed and sustained within them. Often set in the backdrop of the lush and foreboding Bahamian bush, Whitehead’s paintings illustrate the often opaque “knowings” of traversing Caribbean landscapes.

To view Elements, feel free to visit TERN from 10 am to 6pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and Mondays by appointment.

It's not too late to pick up that last-minute gift for the Holidays! Stop by The Concept Store at TERN Gallery today before 6pm to shop these stunning ceramic wares from "Elements", a collection by Florence St. George and Freya Bramble-Carter.

TERN will reopen by appointment only from December 28th to 30th, 2022. To book an appointment, please email Lauren Perez at [email protected] or send us a message.

For this upcoming exhibition, Elements, Florence St. George and Freya Bramble-Carter created vessels that are rooted in its locale with foraged clay from the East End of Grand Bahamas.

Join us this Thursday for the opening of Elements, a collaborative exhibition by Florence St. George and Freya Bramble-Carter. The exhibition features a myriad of vessels, with works derived from their individual practices to pieces manifested through their collaborative efforts.

The image featured is a detail shot of a vessel from Florence St. George’s Volcanic series, using a glaze that creates a rigid and porous surface. Most of the vessels in this series are shades of grey with blushes of browns, accentuated with minute gold detailing.
