Garra International operates where global protein demand meets ex*****on complexity

Our top markets tell a story, and geographic spread also matters.

When one market faces disruption — whether from geopolitical conflict, quota constraints, tariff changes, or logistics bottlenecks — operators without diversified access face oversupply, margin compression, and revenue gaps.

Garra operates differently. When Egypt tightens imports, we serve Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. When Middle East logistics face delays due to regional conflict, we pivot to Chile and Hong Kong. When Asian quotas fill, we activate European and Caribbean networks.

This isn't theoretical diversification. It's how we execute daily, maintaining business continuity.

Data from the U.S. Meat Export Federation highlights a divergence across protein markets in 2026.

Pork exports continue to expand, supported by consistent demand in key destinations such as Mexico and Japan.

Beef follows a different trajectory. Export volumes declined, largely due to restricted access to China. Where access remains open, demand continues to support pricing.

Within the beef chain itself, an important signal emerges. Exports of variety meats increased 40% in value in February, showing how value shifts within the category when primary flows are constrained.

These movements reflect how global protein markets operate today: performance is shaped by how supply, demand and access evolve across products and markets.

Understanding these shifts — and how they translate into day-to-day operations — is what defines performance in global trade.

Events like APAS Show play an essential role in our industry. They create space for open dialogue about market challenges, facilitate the exchange of insights between producers, distributors, and buyers, and strengthen the relationships that underpin long-term collaboration in global protein trade.

For Garra, these moments of connection contribute directly to how we understand market dynamics, identify emerging opportunities, and support our partners in navigating an increasingly complex operating environment.

So we would like to thank everyone who took the time to connect with us in São Paulo. Let’s keep these conversations going!

Brazil is moving quickly toward its annual beef export quota to China.

By February 2026, exports had already reached 372,100 tonnes, with strong year-over-year growth. At this pace, the quota is expected to be filled between May and July.

Once the limit is reached, exports become subject to significantly higher tariffs, changing the commercial viability of the market for the remainder of the year.

This dynamic highlights a structural point in global protein trade: reliance on a single destination creates exposure.

When access is restricted, flows are redirected, prices adjust and timing becomes critical.

At the same time, other exporting countries operate under different quota conditions, creating an uneven competitive landscape across origins.

Garra International operates within this environment by connecting supply to multiple destinations and structuring trade flows as market conditions shift. Want to know more? Talk to us.

Garra International operates as a one-stop structure for global animal protein trade.

Each transaction involves coordination across sourcing, logistics, compliance, financial structure and final delivery. Operating across more than 60 markets, Garra connects producers and end customers through integrated ex*****on.

This includes managing documentation, aligning payment terms, coordinating logistics flows and navigating different regulatory environments.

With teams in over 10 countries and approximately 4,000 containers handled annually, scale is part of the operation – but consistency in ex*****on is what sustains it.

In complex markets, a one-stop approach only works when it is supported by structure, coordination and control across every step of the process.

The Australian beef market showed resilience through March 2026, with cattle prices remaining stable despite global volatility. This strength is backed by record production fundamentals.

Cattle-on-feed numbers reached a historic high of 1.6 million head in Q4 2025, according to Rabobank, reinforcing Australia's capacity to supply consistent volumes to premium markets worldwide.

But production capacity alone doesn't guarantee market access. What's shifting the competitive landscape are the trade dynamics opening up for Australian beef exporters:

China quota approaching capacity: Industry estimates suggest Australia will reach its 205,000-tonne quota for China before mid-June. As the quota fills, exporters will need alternative markets to absorb volume — creating pricing pressure and the need for diversified destination strategies.

Europe removing barriers: A new trade agreement with the EU has eliminated the 20% tariff within the Hilton country-specific quota and established a new 30,600-tonne quota at 0% duty. This opens a premium market previously constrained by cost barriers.

At Garra International, we connect producers to end customers across 60+ markets, managing the complexity of quota systems, tariff environments, and regulatory requirements.

In an era of unprecedented global volatility, the protein business is no place for the unprepared.
From sudden geopolitical conflicts and sanitary outbreaks to wild currency swings and fragmented supply chains, the challenges of 2026 can overwhelm even the most experienced producers and buyers.

This is why the definition of a "trading partner" has fundamentally changed. It is no longer about who can find a container; it is about who can provide the stability, intelligence, and financial backing to keep your business flourishing when the world feels unpredictable.

At Garra International, we pride ourselves on being that stabilizer. A true trading partner acts as a shock absorber for your business. When a new sanitary regulation is passed in a destination port, we are the ones who have already updated the documentation.

When a currency fluctuates by 5% overnight, our financial hedging strategies are already in place to protect the deal.

In 2026, success is defined by resilience and the ability to turn market shocks into strategic opportunities.

By choosing Garra International, you are not just hiring a trader; you are securing a global strategic ally dedicated to your long-term prosperity. In a world of instability, let our expertise be your constant.
