Snuggled into the hillside, Brighton Nurseries, has been providing the island with plant life for several decades. Eddie Simas can only trace it back to 1949, when his father, Mr Mariano F. At the time it was owned by Mr. Roger Outerbridge and it use to do more farming than anything else. Our father befriended one of Mr. Outerbridges’ sons, Edward and the rest is history. The Simas family came to

know Edward as “Uncle Eddie”, who sadly passed away in 1986, and left the business and properties in trust, of which the Simas family were named beneficiaries. We as children basically grew up on the property. Eddie came to work at Brighton in 1989, and started running the everyday operations. At that time there was no shop, just a room with a telephone and desk. At that time we mostly catered to the landscaping companies. In 1996 things changed for the better when we made some drastic changes with the way we took care of the plants and the design around the property! We are now a fully equipped Plant and Garden Center ready to serve you. So come and visit us. We look forward to help you with whatever you may need.
