Within a year of this defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement, the Civil Rights Act was passed, followed shortly by the Voting Rights Act — both landmark moments for our country that brought us closer to liberty and justice for ALL. Nearly six decades later, Dr. King’s words continue to inspire us.

Today, as we celebrate this moment in our Nation's history, and celebrate the legendary visionary and courageous leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., let us continue to honor his legacy by VOTING and advocating for voting rights, paying it forward by looking for opportunities to serve in our own communities, and supporting organizations that continue to drive progress.
